How to introduce isolated breeding for breeding pigs?

(1) Make the introduction plan and do the preparatory work well.

Before introduction, a scientific and reasonable introduction plan should be made according to the actual situation of the pig farm. The plan should include the varieties, grades (original species, ancestors, parents) and quantity of imported breeding pigs. At the same time, we should actively prepare for the introduction. First, the isolation room should be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and left empty for at least one week, and the isolation room should be far away from the existing pigs. The pig loading platform should be built near the isolation room, so that the pig truck can unload the pigs into the yard without entering the yard to prevent diseases. The second is to investigate the pig farms to be introduced and select large-scale breeding pig farms that can provide healthy and disease-free breeding pigs with excellent performance.

(2) Pay attention to the selection principle of reserve breeding pigs.

The testicles of reserve boars should be well developed, with obvious outline, symmetrical left and right, the same size, no single testicle, no cryptorchidism or hernia, and no obvious urine accumulation in the foreskin. It has obvious male characteristics, broad chest and flat abdomen, and strong limbs. The sow should have obvious characteristics and delicate face. The nipples are arranged evenly and neatly, with a certain spacing, and there are no invalid nipples. The vulva is large and drooping. The sow's vulva is small and the genitals are upturned, which is often the performance of reproductive organ dysplasia.

(3) Pay attention to the loading and transportation of breeding pigs.

Pig transport vehicles should be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before departure and after arrival at breeding farms. It can be thoroughly washed with 2% ~ 3% caustic soda solution first, and then washed with clear water. Properly spread some padding materials such as sand and sawdust in the pig car to prevent it from slipping. It is necessary to carefully check whether the quarantine certificate and disinfection certificate of the breeding pig farm are qualified. Prepare enough drinking water in summer, and try not to feed pigs with watermelons, fruits and vegetables to prevent diarrhea. Pigs can be injected with long-acting broad-spectrum antibiotics before getting on the bus to improve their resistance.

(4) Isolated observation after the arrival of breeding pigs.

After the breeding pig arrives at the destination, it immediately disinfects the pig unloading platform, vehicles, pig body and the ground around the unloading, then unloads the breeding pig, thoroughly disinfects the pig body surface and transportation equipment with a disinfectant with little irritation, and enters the isolation room after being rinsed with clear water. If there is injury, rectocele, etc. , should be immediately put forward separately, and handled in a timely manner.

Breeding pigs must be kept in isolation for more than 45 days after arrival, and strict quarantine shall be implemented. Pay special attention to brucellosis, pseudorabies and other epidemics. Blood samples should be tested by relevant veterinary quarantine departments to confirm whether there are positive bacterial infections and wild virus infections, and antibodies such as swine fever should be monitored. The isolation room should keep the air fresh and the temperature and humidity appropriate. Generally, the temperature is kept at 15 ~ 20℃ and the humidity is kept at 50% ~ 70%. After long-distance transportation, breeding pigs often have mild diarrhea, constipation, cough, fever and other symptoms, which are generally normal stress reactions and can be treated by adding chlortetracycline to feed.

After 1 week, breeding pigs should be immunized (classical swine fever, porcine pseudorabies, porcine parvovirus, etc.). ) according to the local epidemic situation, vaccination and blood collection and quarantine, and vaccination should be at a certain interval to avoid immune pressure and failure. During this period, 7-month-old reserve pigs can be vaccinated with reproductive barrier vaccines, such as parvovirus and Japanese encephalitis vaccine. During the quarantine period, pigs were vaccinated with various vaccines and were being thoroughly deworming 1 time. Broad-spectrum anthelmintic drugs such as doramycin or long-acting ivermectin can be injected subcutaneously to repel insects, so that they can give full play to their growth potential.

(5) Breeding management of breeding pigs after arrival.

After the breeding pigs arrive, they should rest for a while and then provide drinking water for the pigs. You can add some vitamins or oral rehydration salts to the water, rest for 6 ~ 12 hours and then supplement a small amount of feed. The feeding amount can be gradually increased from the second day, and the normal feeding amount can be restored after 5 days. In the first two weeks after the arrival of breeding pigs, due to fatigue and environmental changes, the body's resistance to epidemic diseases will be reduced, so attention should be paid to reducing stress as much as possible in feeding management. Antibiotics (tylosin 500 mg/kg, chlortetracycline 150 mg/kg) and vitamins can be added to the feed to make the breeding pigs return to normal state as soon as possible.

Reasonable grouping of imported breeding pigs. Newly introduced sows are generally raised in groups, with 4 ~ 6 sows per column, and the feeding density is suitable. Boars should be kept in separate rows as far as possible. In order to facilitate the management of breeding pigs, imported breeding pigs should be trained in time to establish an affinity relationship between people and pigs, so that pigs are not afraid of being managed by others. Managers should always touch pigs, touching sensitive parts of pigs, such as ear roots, ventral sides, breasts, etc., to promote the affinity between people and animals and lay a good foundation for sperm collection, breeding and farrowing in the future.

During the isolation period, there was no abnormality. After the quarantine period expires, the breeding pigs are thoroughly disinfected and transferred to the production site.
