Every year there is a theme for National Low Carbon Day. How are these themes determined?

In order to popularize climate change knowledge, promote low-carbon life development concepts and policies, encourage everyone to actively participate, and promote the implementation of greenhouse gas emission control, our country has decided to organize the third day of National Energy Conservation Publicity Week starting from 2013. Established as "National Low Carbon Day". There is a theme for National Low Carbon Day every year. How are these themes determined?

The theme of the 2013 National Low Carbon Day is "Practice energy conservation and low carbon, build a beautiful home".

The theme of the 2014 National Low Carbon Day is "Work together to save energy and low carbon, and build clear water and blue sky".

The theme of the 2015 National Low Carbon Day is "Low Carbon City, Livable and Sustainable".

The theme of the 2016 National Low Carbon Day is "Green Development Low Carbon Innovation".

The theme of the 2017 National Low Carbon Day is "Industrial Low Carbon Development".

The theme of the 2018 National Low Carbon Day is "Raise awareness of climate change and strengthen low-carbon actions".

The theme of the 2019 National Low Carbon Day is "Low Carbon Action, Protect the Blue Sky".

The theme of the 2020 National Low Carbon Day is "Green and Low Carbon, Comprehensive Well-off".

These themes are all about energy saving and low carbon, saving energy starts with me. We should start from the little things around us, turn off the power, practice green consumption, reduce pollution, turn on the air conditioner as little as possible, recycle garbage resources, save water, carry reusable bags with you, and travel low-carbon. Low-carbon life, for ordinary people, is a concept, an attitude, and a responsibility. We should actively promote and practice low-carbon life, start from scratch, pay attention to saving electricity, fuel, gas and water, and save all energy and resources.

Global warming has become a serious problem endangering human survival. Landslides, snowstorms, rising sea levels, melting glaciers, floods, droughts, etc. caused by frequent disastrous climates have posed huge threats to human survival. Facing the same blue sky and living on the same earth, each of us has the responsibility to protect the environment and save the earth.

The National Low Carbon Day aims to adhere to the people-oriented concept and strengthen publicity and education on climate change adaptation and disaster prevention and reduction.
