1. Any fire prevention is based on the burning conditions of destructive substances. Therefore, in order to prevent electric welding fire, efforts must be made to improve the fire safety quality of employees, control the working environment, strengthen supervision and management, and enhance fire fighting ability.

2. 1 Establish a mechanism, improve the system and strengthen the fire safety management of electric welding operation.

Under the current management system of electric welding industry in China, most employees are still in a state of disorganization and lack of centralized management. In order to improve the situation of this professional group with great fire risk, according to the relevant provisions of the Fire Protection Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the corresponding industry management departments should be defined as soon as possible. Under the unified leadership of the government, the fire control mechanism of "government leadership, industry management, employee participation and fire control supervision" is implemented. In the electric welding operation, the "welding operation certificate system", "dynamic welding approval system in dangerous places", "dynamic welding monitoring system in dangerous places" and "pre-welding and post-welding inspection system" shall be strictly implemented, and the responsibility system for personnel, posts and responsibilities shall be fully implemented, and fire safety management shall be implemented for all employees and the whole process.

2.2 Strengthen systematic fire training to improve the fire safety quality of employees.

(1) It is necessary to strengthen the organization and management of electric welding practitioners, so that the fire safety training system for practitioners can operate in an orderly manner. For the electric welding workers in the enterprise, the unit shall regularly organize fire safety knowledge training; For electric welding practitioners who have no management unit, the industry management department should conduct centralized management and organize training. Fire supervision institutions should timely check and evaluate the training situation;

(2) The content of fire protection training should be targeted, focusing on the knowledge of fire prevention and explosion prevention in welding process, mainly including the basic knowledge of fire protection, the use of fire extinguishing methods and equipment, the classification of hazardous chemicals, the explosion prevention of various flammable liquid gases, and the fire prevention technology in welding and cutting operations. Through systematic and orderly training, efforts are made to enhance the fire safety awareness and quality of the whole electric welding practitioners, so that they can not only prevent fires in their operations, but also deal with them correctly in case of fire accidents, thus achieving the purpose of controlling fires.

2.3 Take targeted measures to create a good safety environment for welding operations.

(1) Before welding, conduct a comprehensive fire safety inspection on the job site. Where there are combustible materials around, the combustible materials should be removed so that the distance between the combustible materials and the work place is not less than 10m. When the combustible materials in the workplace cannot be moved, the combustible materials should be wetted by spraying water to enhance their fire resistance. Before welding pipelines and containers of combustible gas or liquid, methods such as replacement and cleaning should be adopted to replace or clean the combustible gas and liquid in the container or pipeline;

(2) After the welding operation, conduct a comprehensive and detailed inventory of the site to prevent incomplete kindling;

(3) According to different workplaces and working objects, a certain number and corresponding models of fire-fighting equipment shall be provided, so as to put out a fire in time.

The danger of welding operation, the dynamics of employees and the complexity of working environment make it more and more difficult to prevent welding operation fire, which requires employees to make more efforts to further prevent and reduce the occurrence of welding operation fire accidents.
