Yibin College is located in Yibin City, Sichuan Province, the first city in the Yangtze River and a national historical and cultural city. The history of higher education began at 1978. In 200 1 year, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Yibin Normal College merged with Yibin Branch of Sichuan Education College and was upgraded to a full-time comprehensive undergraduate college in Sichuan Province.
