History of Keyuan Museum in Dongguan

Keyuan Garden, located in the west of Xia Bo Village, Guancheng District, Dongguan City, is one of the four famous gardens in Guangdong in Qing Dynasty. In 200 1 year, it was announced by the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit.

Keyuan was built in the 30th year of Qing Daoguang (1850), with an irregular polygon on the plane, covering an area of about 2,204 square meters and a building area of 1234 square meters. All the buildings are arranged in groups along the peripheral sideline, and the "spacious multi-span" encloses a large garden space with closed outside and open inside.

According to the needs of function and landscape, buildings are roughly divided into three groups. The southeast hall complex where the entrance is located is the hub for receiving guests and people. Centered on the entrance hall, there are also buildings such as the Red Pavilion, Caocao Hall, Grape Forest Hall and Tingqiuju. The pavilion group in the west is a place for banquets, overlooking and cooling off the summer heat. There are double clean rooms, osmanthus room (guest porch), kitchen and waiter room. Beitang Group is a place for sightseeing, living, reading, playing the piano, painting and poetry. There is a veranda by the lake named Bo Xi Yu Yin, and there are other buildings, such as Tangke, Wenhua Courtyard, Chu Yue Chi Pavilion, Luqi Building, Xike, Shiwo, Diaoyutai and living room.
