The Ministry of Public Security deployed to promote rural traffic safety management.

The Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security held a national on-the-spot meeting on rural traffic safety management in Suqian City, Jiangsu Province, and deployed all localities to thoroughly implement the requirements of the Notice on Effectively Strengthening Rural Road Traffic Safety in the State Council Security Committee Office, so as to create a good road traffic environment for rural people to travel.

According to reports, since 2022, local public security traffic control departments have conscientiously implemented the relevant arrangements of the the State Council Safety Committee Office and the Ministry of Public Security, actively promoted rural traffic safety cooperation with transportation, agriculture and rural areas, rural revitalization, insurance and other departments, and achieved good results. When the number of motor vehicles in rural areas and the number of drivers increase by more than 1 1 10,000 per year, a major traffic accident with more than 3 deaths occurred year-on-year.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, rural traffic safety is still in the climbing period, and the problems of poor road basic conditions and poor vehicle safety performance are still the biggest shortcomings.

The meeting demanded that local public security traffic control departments should further promote the "five constructions" of rural traffic safety responsibility system, collaborative governance, persuasion management mode, hidden danger management mechanism and traffic safety culture.

Based on the responsibility system, promote and improve the responsibility list and evaluation system of rural traffic safety work. Focus on strength building, strengthen the standardized construction of rural traffic police squadrons, deepen the construction of "two stations and two members" in police-insurance cooperation, combine special groups and exert joint efforts.

Persuade management as the starting point, adhere to the guidance of judgment, explore the establishment of hierarchical and classified management mechanism, highlight the key points of risk prevention and control, innovate ways and means, and promote quality improvement and efficiency improvement.

Taking hidden danger management as a breakthrough, we will promote the change of traffic accident prevention to beforehand, and jointly promote the refinement and improvement of road safety facilities and traffic order management with the transportation department to effectively improve the level of road safety guarantee.

Based on publicity and education, we will further promote the road traffic safety publicity and education promotion action plan, continue to carry out publicity and education for groups such as "one old and one young" and agricultural migrant workers, and promote the popularization of rural traffic safety culture.
