The Liuzi Temple is located in Lingling District, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province, China, on the west bank of Xiaoshui River. It is a temple built to commemorate Liu Zongyuan in the Tang Dynasty. Liu Zongyuan was demoted to Yongzhou Sima in the fifth year of Zhenyuan (805) and lived here for ten years. In order to commemorate him, later generations built Liuzi Temple on the east side of Huayan Yanxue Palace in the third year of Zhihe in the Northern Song Dynasty (1056). Liuzi Temple is located on Liuzi Street to the west of Xiaoshui in Yongzhou. It was built in the third year of Zhihe (1056) by Renzong of the Northern Song Dynasty. It was rebuilt in the 14th year of the Southern Song Dynasty (AD 1144) and the third year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (AD 1877). Liuzi Temple covers an area of ??more than 2,000 square meters, with a brick and wood structure, facing Yuxi River and backed by green mountains. There is a stone carving with the words "Liuzimiao" on the door of the temple, with couplets on both sides.
