Gongwangfu is the most well-preserved Wang Fu complex in China, with more than 30 buildings of various types, with exquisite layout and extraordinary style. It's well worth a visit.

Originally the residence of Little Shenyang, it experienced the historical process from its peak to its decline in Qing Dynasty, so there is a saying that "a Gongwangfu is half of history of qing dynasty". As a whole, it is divided into two parts: a mansion and a garden. West Gate, Grand Theatre Building and HouGai Lou are the "three wonders" in Gongwangfu, so don't miss them.

Gong Wangfu was built in the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty, and was originally the private residence of the scholar Xiao Shenyang. In the early years of Tongzhi, the third-generation master here, Prince Gong, was single-minded, and held important positions such as reviewing the king and minister of military aircraft. He held a lot of power and was once prominent. At the same time, he also repaired and rebuilt the mansion. It was at that time that the scale and pattern of the palace buildings we saw finally took shape.
