How to improve the survival rate of shrimp fry stocking

Shrimp fry stocking includes releasing seedlings to temporary breeding ponds and directly releasing seedlings to breeding ponds. Releasing shrimps is the first step to raise them well. If it is not handled properly, the survival rate of shrimp will be reduced, or even all of them will die, which will affect the culture effect. Therefore, shrimp fry stocking is a very important production technology link in shrimp culture. In order to improve the survival rate of shrimp fry, the following conditions should be met when raising shrimp fry:

(1) The water environment in the shrimp pond is 40-70cm deep, with rich water quality and normal water color. Green, yellow-green or brown-green algae with green algae, diatoms and Chlorella as dominant algae phases have a transparency of 30-40cm, and do not contain harmful organisms such as ciliates and gymnosperms. There is no overgrowth of filamentous algae and ditch algae. The water temperature in the shrimp pond should be consistent with the original water temperature in the nursery pond as far as possible, and the temperature difference should generally not exceed 8℃, and the water temperature should be kept within the appropriate temperature range for shrimp larvae, such as China shrimp 14℃, Japanese shrimp 16℃ and Penaeus monodon (20℃). The salinity of shrimp pond should be suitable for the survival and growth of shrimp fry, and the difference between the salinity of shrimp pond and that of shrimp fry should not exceed 5. If it goes beyond the scope, it must be domesticated. The pH value of pool water should be between 7.8 and 8.7. If it exceeds this range, it should be solved by changing water or adjusting it with pH regulator such as lime.

(2) The weather conditions and temperature are suitable, and there is no cold current, rainstorm and strong wind. In addition, the following items should be paid attention to when raising shrimp seedlings:

① After the shrimp is shipped back, carefully observe the survival situation in transportation, as well as the quality and quantity of the shrimp. If conditions permit, it can be re-counted and put into the pool. First, put the shrimp (young shrimp) into a net cage with the mesh number of 1 ~ 2 mm, after 4 ~ 5 hours of adaptation, count it again and put it into the pool.

(2) After the shrimp is shipped back, immediately open the canvas bucket or nylon belt and pour some fresh pool water to avoid death due to oxygen consumption during transportation. When the container is put into the shrimp pond to change the temperature and water quality environment, the shrimp seedlings are poured into the shrimp pond or the cage in the pond in time.

(3) Pay attention to the upwind direction of pool water and clear water to water seedlings to reduce losses.

④ It is best to put 50 ~ 100 shrimps into cages with the same density (deep draft) at the same time, and keep them for 3 ~ 5 days, so as to further judge the quality of shrimps and infer the survival rate of shrimps in shrimp ponds.

⑤ Put enough shrimps in the same shrimp pond at one time to avoid repeated replenishment.
