I have always wanted to know the origin of Guilin's name. Some people say that Guilin is famous for its sweet-scented osmanthus, but there is nowhere to prove it. After checking a lot of information, there is nothing, but the tour guide insists that Guilin means osmanthus, so let's take it for granted. Besides banyan, osmanthus is the most common tree species in Guilin. Wherever you go, in the streets, scenic roads, the crystal-clear Lijiang River and the crowded Elephant Trunk Hill Park, you will see the unknown osmanthus trees hidden among the green mountains and green waters.

Guilin in October is the most romantic season. The street is full of fragrant osmanthus fragrance, which is almost everywhere. Maybe you can't find it, but its fragrance has surrounded you tightly. I like flowers and plants since I was a child. I have participated in biological summer camps in China and Shanghai, and I will organize the collection of specimens whenever I have time. I have a soft spot for osmanthus. I know that Guilin is one of the core producing areas of Osmanthus fragrans. Osmanthus fragrans has the richest varieties and the longest flowering period. There are about 63 common varieties in four species groups: Jingui, Yin Gui, Dangui and Sijigui. Rare osmanthus varieties such as osmanthus fragrans and osmanthus fragrans from Ye Gui are also growing on the rocky mountain in Guilin.

At the foot of the mountain, there is a well-known Xiangshan wine cellar, which stores Guilin Sanhua wine, which is mellow and pleasant, and becomes the top grade of wine. The bouquet and osmanthus fragrance gather here, adding mystery to the scenic spot. The natural landscape and human landscape of Xiangshan Park complement each other, and the cultural relics and historic sites set each other off into a painting, which is beautiful and fascinating.

The royal palace in Guilin, also known as the King City, was built in the fifth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1372) and basically completed in the ninth year of Hongwu (1376). It has a history of more than 630 years, so the imperial city in Guilin was built more than 30 years earlier than the Forbidden City in Beijing. Jing Wang Fu was built by Zhu Shouqian (Wang Jing III), the nephew of Zhu Yuanzhang, with a grand scale and imposing momentum. Zhu Shouqian, the king of Jingjiang at that time, believed in the theory of geomantic omen, backed by Du Xiufeng and located in Long Mai, so he decided to build the Wang Fu here. Because it is located in the center of Guilin, there is a saying that "Guilin is known to all the city".

The carrier door means "Fengtian carries goods, and the emperor summons Yue". The word Jingjiang Wang Fu was put forward by King Jingjiang. The Communications Department is the main hall of Jingjiang Wang Fu, which is newly built and destroyed in the late Qing Dynasty. The Prince Mi Palace is similar to the Forbidden City, and there are also three halls, namely the Hall of Sending, the Hall of Love and the Hall of Meaning. The Hall of Sending is equivalent to the Hall of Supreme Harmony in the Forbidden City and is the largest building. In the season of sweet-scented osmanthus, the house full of Gui Xiang attracts many tourists to Wang Fu. According to historical records, Wang Fu was once the garrison place of Sun Yat-sen during the Northern Expedition, and later it was the campus of Guangxi Normal University. Qiong Yao changed the prototype of the swallow in the TV series Princess Zhu Huan and lived in the government for two years.

The prestigious Duxiufeng is just behind Wang Fu. Its peak is shaped like an axe, rising abruptly, with a hole under it, named "Feng Shui Cave", and a poem wall at the top of the cave, which reads "Guilin's landscape is the best in the world", becoming the earliest source of "the best in the world". This is the origin of the poem "Guilin's landscape is the best in the world" engraved on the cliff of Duxiufeng. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Wang invited students to dinner and wrote this poem:

There are 60 murals in the cave that are not dedicated to Tai Sui. According to heavenly stems and earthly branches, they can find their life core tablet Tai Sui according to different birth years. In Tuofang, everyone has developed a blessing to pray for the health and happiness of their loved ones. In the government exhibition hall, there are Tai Sui maps of life core monuments made of mineral raw materials for sale, with prices ranging from 2000- 10000.

The Sun Yat-sen Memorial Tower under Du Xiufeng has three sides, including the full text of Sun Yat-sen's Immortality, Perseverance and Premier's Will written by Xie Shunci, Mo Naiqun and Seimi Zhang. The base is a five-step class, symbolizing the five-power constitution; This tower is in the shape of a three-sided pyramid, symbolizing the "Three People's Principles".

Like osmanthus fragrance everywhere, the splendid mountain city is hidden among the lush osmanthus flowers. This sweet osmanthus has accompanied Guilin people year after year and has become the sweetest and most fragrant taste in Guilin people's memory.

After visiting Guilin, I went directly to Longjitai without staying for more than two hours. It is said that you must go to Longjitai once in your life. Many raiders say that autumn scenery there is particularly enchanting. The reason why Longji terraced fields are famous far and near is that they are magnificent. It is not surprising that there are terraces in mountainous areas, but it is really rare to see such large-scale concentration as Longji terraces.

When we drove into Longsheng County, Guangxi, Longji terraced fields made me really enter the fascinating and mythical curve world with beautiful lines and magnificent momentum.
