This old street used to be the commercial center of Zhongzhou County and an important place for cultural exchange. Nowadays, Zhongzhou Old Street attracts many tourists and photographers with its unique historical features and rich cultural landscape.

The history of Zhongzhou Old Street can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty. It is the main street of Zhongzhou County in Ming Dynasty with a history of more than 600 years. The buildings on both sides of the street retain the style of Ming and Qing Dynasties. The streets are spacious and clean, the roads paved with stone slabs and the walls built with bluestone are full of ancient charm. By the end of the 20th century, the ancient city of Zhongzhou had formed five streets running vertically and horizontally from bottom to top, surrounded by one river and two rivers, and distributed in one city and three districts. It is a well-known ancient city, a poetic mountain city, and a famous cultural city by the Yangtze River.
