Birth

On Christmas Eve 1906, Fessenden and Alexander of the United States established a radio broadcasting system near New York. A radio station and made its first ever broadcast.

This radio program was clearly heard by people with receivers scattered around at that time.

In 1908, the American Forrester made another broadcast from the Eiffel Tower in Paris, which was heard by all military radio stations in the area and an engineer in Marseille.

In 1916, Forrest broadcast news about the presidential election from an experimental radio station in the Bronx Press Bureau, but only a handful of people were able to listen to these early broadcasts.

Real broadcasting was born in the 1920s.

The world's first licensed radio station was KDKA Radio in Pittsburgh, USA, which officially launched on November 2, 1920.

China's first radio station was built in January 1923. It was founded by Osborne of the United States. It was a radio station belonging to the China Radio Broadcasting Company and first broadcast in Shanghai.

In 1926, China's first self-operated radio station - Harbin Radio Station, was founded by Liu Han.

In 1928, the Chinese Communist Party successfully launched its Northern Expedition and founded the "Central Executive Committee Broadcasting and Radio Station of the Chinese Communist Party" in Nanjing with the call sign XKM.

In 1939, *** founded the external radio station "Voice of China" in Chongqing.

In December 1940, the Chinese People's Broadcasting Industry was founded, the predecessor of the Central People's Broadcasting Station - Yan'an Xinhua Radio Station.

The advantage of radio is that it has a wide range of targets, rapid dissemination, diverse functions, and strong appeal; its disadvantage is that it is fleeting, listens sequentially, cannot choose, and it is difficult to listen if there is a language barrier.

Development

Due to the widespread use of radio and people's proficiency in high-power transmitters and high-sensitivity tube receivers, broadcasting gradually became a reality.

In 1919, the Soviet Union built a high-power transmitter and began experimental broadcasting in Moscow in 1920.

On June 15, 1920, the Marconi Company held a "Radio-Telephone" concert starring Mrs. Melba in the United Kingdom, which traveled as far as Paris, Italy, Norway, and even Greece Can be heard clearly.

This was the beginning of broadcasting.

On November 2, 1920, under the guidance of Conrad, the Westinghouse Company radio station KDKA began broadcasting in the United States. The first broadcast program was the Hardin-Cox presidential election. At that time, this incident caused a sensation.

On December 22, 1920, Germany’s Radio Konigwusterhausen broadcast the first instrumental music concert.

On November 14, 1922, London's ZLO radio station officially began broadcasting daily programs in the UK. In 1927, the station was changed to the British Broadcasting Company Limited, or BBC.

In 1922, the Eiffel Tower in France also officially started broadcasting.

As of 1927, there were 737 radio stations in the United States.

During this period, radio stations sprung up in various countries.
