Is it easier to die in another life or continue to be reincarnated as a human being in the next life?
Brief insights for reference:
Leave aside the difficulty of rebirth and rebirth. The problem is: Even if you get a human body in the next life, or even a heavenly body. How can we ensure that we will not fall into the evil realm in the next life? How can we ensure that we will not fall into the evil realm for countless lifetimes in the future?
Being reborn in the West can solve this important matter of life and death at once. Therefore, the two are as different as the world and cannot be compared at all. Rebirth is like getting a magical treasure: you can get whatever you want whenever you want, and you can never lose it. And regaining a human body is like getting a sum of money. Not only can it be spent, but it can also be lost at any time.
With the above knowledge, let us look at the difficulty of rebirth and rebirth: Mo Xue believes that, from a practical point of view, it is much easier to be reborn in the West than to obtain a human body in Saha:
The situation of inferior rebirth: If a person commits the five evils and the ten evils (such as killing his father and his mother), he will fall into hell when he is dying, and all kinds of pain and terror will appear before him. Moreover, this person had never recited the Buddha's name, but in his eagerness to get rid of the pain, he heard someone tell him: "You should recite the Buddha's name to seek rebirth." This person simply "crammed the Buddha's feet" and started chanting the Buddha's name. Therefore, "even if you think about it ten times, you will definitely be reborn."
Compared with the above, are ordinary people who recite the Buddha's name worse than a person who commits the five treasons?
To obtain human body again, you need to maintain the "Five Precepts and Ten Good Deeds". Strictly speaking, in the Saha world, there is basically no one who strictly abides by the five precepts and ten good deeds and never violates them. It is relatively easy to lower the standard (such as "Five Precepts and Ten Good Deeds"). But there is a saying in the scriptures: "Those who gain human bodies are like the earth in the claws, and those who lose their human bodies are like the earth in the earth." The ancient great master also said: "If you cannot follow the path in this life, you will return wearing hair and horns." This shows that it is not easy to obtain a human body.
So, is afterlife really that simple? Not really.
There is no reason why most people will succeed in their next life. It means that the merit is not enough. The sutra says: "You cannot achieve rebirth without having good roots." Gude also said: "Only when you have great merit can you recite Buddha's name." It can be seen that people who do not have enough merit cannot be reborn.
Where is the lack of merit?
One: Do not believe that the Buddha can be reborn, and do not believe in the incredible and extraordinary things that will happen after rebirth. Because "there is no pie in the sky." "A word of Amitabha can save eight billion eons of life and death from serious crimes"? Isn't it a joke? Daydream!
Second: I don’t believe that I can succeed in rebirth: it is so difficult to obtain a human body. Not to mention such an extremely special thing as the afterlife! Can a person like me achieve such a unique method?
Third: After research and research, many masters now believe that "Mahayana is not the Buddha's teaching" and that "the Paradise of Ultimate Bliss is a continuation of the worship of the sun god". It turns out that reciting Buddha’s name and rebirth is a legend! It was made up by later generations. Let me just say, can it be so cheap?
Fourth: Rebirth is difficult, and one has to cultivate to the state of "separation". People with poor faculties should forget about it.
People who believe in the above statements and similar statements. It shows that his merit is insufficient. I can't bear this extraordinary method. The fundamental reason lies in the lack of faith. I would rather believe in false and heretical theories than believe in Buddhist teachings. But there are not a few such people. As a result, fewer and fewer people have passed away. On the other hand, if you have a strong foundation of faith, do not accept all kinds of heresies, and believe wholeheartedly in the reality of the West, you will wish to be born in the West and recite Buddha's name to seek survival. Even if he doesn't know a word, he is dull and dull. But he is also a "person of great merit" and "a person of great kindness", and has the ability to endure this method.
Concerning the issue of "root of faith", Mo Xue excerpted a passage:
"When you are practicing pure karma, if Master Bodhidharma suddenly appears in front of you, he says: I have Zhi. It refers to the Zen of realizing the Buddha's nature. I will teach you this Zen, saying that I have already made the vow to chant the Buddha's teachings throughout my life. There is a profound and wonderful way of meditation. I dare not violate this vow. Suddenly, Sakyamuni appeared and said, "I will teach you a method that is more powerful than that." You should recite the Buddha's name and declare it to the Buddha. I will never change my vow even though I have the Buddha's teachings. It's against your will.
Although Buddha appears. He has not changed his belief yet. King Kuang is a heretic. False and heresy. ”--------"Quotations of Zen Master Chewu"
If the root of faith can be strong to this extent, reciting the Buddha's name and passing away will be as simple as returning home.
== ========================
The following is the view of the benevolent person "Wei Meizi":
" Infinite Life Sutra:
The Buddha said: The good roots planted by them cannot be separated from their appearance, they do not seek the wisdom of the Buddha, they are deeply attached to the happiness of the world, and the blessings in the world.
Although he has regained his blessings and sought fruit from humans and gods, when he gets his reward, everything will be abundant, but he cannot escape from the prison of the three realms.
It can be seen from this that under the premise of "inseparability", it is impossible to be reborn. ”
--------------------------------------------- ------------------
In the scriptures, the reason why you cannot "come out of the prison of the three realms" is not only "cannot leave the state", but also "Not seeking Buddha's wisdom, profound happiness in the world, blessings in the world", "seeking the fruits of human and heaven" and other conditions. However, what you seek for rebirth in the Buddha's name is not the fruits of human and heaven, but the pursuit of eternal liberation from the three realms. Of course, the two cannot be confused. , if "cannot separate", it is true that the attainment required for transcending the three realms has not been obtained. However, if one succeeds in reciting the Buddha's name and is reborn, he may not obtain the attainment of transcending the three realms at that time: in "Seeing the Blooming Flowers". "Buddha", you will obtain the realization and merits of transcending the three realms, and at the same time achieve separation.
The problem of separation is to observe that "all dharmas are inseparable from the self-nature" after enlightening the mind: All dharmas are the manifestations of Tathagatagarbha, but they themselves have no form. Therefore, a truly enlightened person will not be able to achieve this kind of "separation" without chanting Buddha's name and will be reborn in the present. The attainment of transcending the three realms. If you transform to the Pure Land and recite the Buddha's name, you will definitely be reborn in the highest level (such as Zen Master Yongming Yanshou).
If you are an ordinary person, it is impossible to say "detachment." "Phase", then it is a lie. Because he is precisely "taking the phase of differentiation": taking the phase of "living phase".
As above, if you cannot separate the phase, it is impossible to be reborn. Then, all ordinary people will not It is possible to be reborn. The "Three Roots" of the Pure Land Dharma is a lie!
As mentioned before, ordinary people who commit the five evil sins (killing their father, killing their mother, killing an Arhat, bleeding from the body of the Buddha, and breaking the harmony of the Sangha) You can be reborn. But there is a kind of person who cannot be reborn: even if you believe in the West, wish to be born in the West, and uphold the name of the Buddha, you cannot be reborn. These are people who "slander the Dharma."
There are light and heavy aspects to the Dharma. Wrong interpretation of the Dharma can cause people to think that the Dharma is too difficult and beyond our reach. This can also be regarded as a kind of "destroying people's wisdom and life" because what they say is not in line with the Dharma. In terms of moral principles, I think it can be regarded as "low-grade slander of the Dharma".
However, even the most serious slander of the Dharma: "Slander of the Bodhisattva Bodhisattva" (please search "I would rather shed the blood of the Buddha than slander the Tathagata". If you can repent hard during your lifetime, you may see a good image, smell a strange fragrance, or touch your head with the Buddha in a dream, you can avoid this sin.
Namo Amitabha.
