When carrying out criticism and self-criticism, our party has always adopted the policy of "unity-criticism-unity" and the policy of "learning lessons and saving lives".

In carrying out criticism and self-criticism, we should also adhere to the principle of self-education, and believe in the consciousness and "introspection" ability of comrades with shortcomings and problems.

At present, the party's mass line education practice has entered the key link of "checking out problems and carrying out criticism". The leading group of the mass line education practice activities of the Central Party requires that criticism and self-criticism should be sincere, spicy and stimulating, not burdened by interpersonal relationships, dare to say no to good people, and be moved from the heart. The success of educational practice depends on whether party member cadres can really take up the weapon of criticism and self-criticism, adhere to the "four essentials" and achieve the "four taboos", be problem-oriented, be pragmatic, not be a good person, really blush and sweat, cheer up and achieve the goal of "unity-criticism-unity".

"Four Essentials": First, we must face up to contradictions. Correctly carrying out criticism and self-criticism is an important experience summed up by our party in solving contradictions within the party for a long time. Article 6 of the Constitution of the Producers' Party of China stipulates: "Carry out criticism and self-criticism, dare to expose and correct shortcomings and mistakes in work, and resolutely fight against negative corruption." Whether criticism and self-criticism can be carried out correctly is an important yardstick of party member's party spirit. At work, every unit and department has certain problems and contradictions, which are objective and normal, and no unit has problems and contradictions. The key to analysis and appraisal, criticism and self-criticism is whether members of the leading group dare to face contradictions objectively and face up to problems. "There is no fault? The ancients said that it is good to change. This is the way of a gentleman. If there is harmony, if you don't talk about it, I don't talk about it, and everyone doesn't talk about it, then although the sea surface is calm and the seabed is turbulent, the contradictions will not disappear, and the barriers will accumulate deeper and deeper, and the overlapping problems will be more difficult to solve, let alone properly solve. Therefore, every member of the leading group should realize that in the face of wrong thoughts and behaviors within the party, it is a manifestation of impure party spirit to avoid the important and neglect the important and dare not speak.

Second, be kind to others. Criticism within the party must proceed from safeguarding the fundamental interests of the party, adopt a kind attitude towards others, and care for and help comrades with shortcomings and mistakes with a warm and pleasant attitude. The essence of "making the past serve the present and saving the wounded and dying" put forward in Yan 'an rectification movement is to be kind to others. To carry out criticism and self-criticism, we must adhere to the principle of self-education, and believe in the consciousness and "introspection" ability of comrades with shortcomings and problems. Only based on the starting point of being kind to others can it be conducive to the resolution of contradictions. A good word warms three winters, and a bad word hurts June. Let the criticized comrades feel that others have pointed out their own problems. The purpose is to improve themselves, promote their work, think about their future progress, and avoid making mistakes and problems in the future, instead of standing by and watching others laugh.

Third, we should promote unity. Only out of public interest can unity be promoted. This "public interest" is for the cause of the party and the people, to maintain the vitality of the party and to unite within the team. "If you are sincere, the stone will open." Sincere exchange of ideas and heart-to-heart exchange of views will not hurt comrades, but will enhance understanding and trust. As a critic, we should have the realm of "being a good friend by persuading the good and obeying the rules"; As a critic, you should have the mind of "listening is fun and doing is good". In carrying out the Party's mass line education practice, it is particularly important for team members to criticize each other and pay attention to methods. Criticism must be reasonable, as well as timing, tone, attitude, occasion, wording, etc. We need to grasp it well, so as to convince the criticized people, correctly resolve contradictions, and truly achieve the unity of thought and understanding.

Fourth, leaders should take the lead. Practice has proved that all leading cadres who can accept criticism and actively carry out self-criticism are easy to carry out criticism in their own units and their teams are more United. Therefore, it is very important for the "top leaders" to take the lead in criticism and self-criticism and set an example. The "top leaders" should set an example of daring to criticize and being good at criticizing, take the lead in carrying out in-depth self-criticism, take the lead in pre-meeting communication, take the lead in pointing out the problems existing in subordinates and peers, take the lead in "gnawing hard bones" and take the lead in sweating.
