Overall observation array of terracotta warriors and horses in Qin Shihuang mausoleum

The Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shihuang are part of Qin Shihuang's Mausoleum. The Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shihuang was built on the basis of Qin Shihuang's burial pit, which is located 3 kilometers outside the sunset east gate of the cemetery. Pits 1, 2 and 3 were found. The terracotta warriors and horses of Qin Shihuang are lifelike in shape and have no similarities. Chariots, formations and cavalry of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shihuang are arranged in various positions, ready to be attacked between Scylla and Charybdis, just like a neat and dignified Qin Jun, guarding the security of Qin Shihuang's underground kingdom. The whole museum is magnificent and listed as one of the "eight wonders of the world".

The No.1 pit is rectangular, with a length of 230m from east to west, a width of 62m from north to south, an average depth of 5m and an area of 14260m2.

Pit No.2 is located in the northeast of Pit No.1 and the east of Pit No.3. It is square, 96 meters long from east to west and 84 meters wide from north to south, with a total area of about 6,000 square meters.

The third pit is located 25 meters west of the first pit, with an area of about 520 square meters and a concave shape.

There are no terracotta figures in the fourth pit, only backfill soil.

According to the existing arrangement of terracotta warriors and horses, there may be 7000 terracotta warriors and horses in these three pits, 100 chariots and 100 horses. It can be imagined from the simulated military array that Qin Jun, which was invincible more than 2,000 years ago, swept six countries and unified the whole country. Pottery figurines are tall, usually around 1.8 meters, with different shapes and realistic expressions. It embodies the superb sculpture skill level of Qin Dynasty.

These life-size ladies-in-waiting of Qin Dynasty are not easy to burn. According to experts' research, these servants are all above the ground, and their heads and hands were fired before being pressed. Otherwise, the center of gravity is unstable and the other one is easy to burn.

The overall style of samurai figurines is vigorous, bodybuilding and washing. If carefully observed, there are differences in face, hairstyle, posture and verve, from which we can see that Qin Bing comes from different regions, different nationalities and different personalities. Ma Tao pricked up his ears, some opened his mouth and screamed, others stood still with their mouths shut. These are full of touching artistic charm.

Here, the military features of the first feudal dynasty in ancient China are comprehensively and systematically displayed. The discovery of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shihuang is of great significance to the study of the military establishment, weapons and equipment, combat methods, costumes and sculpture art of later officials.
