I don't know how many viewers, like me, walked into the cinema with great interest and expectation just because of the word "Director Ning Hao" without seeing any introduction, report or trailer about the Golden Robbery before. I think it should be quite a lot. Because Ning Hao is trustworthy.

I haven't seen Ning Hao's early works Thursday and Wednesday, Fragrance and Green Grass, or Ning Hao's legendary No Man's Land. I have only seen two films by Ning Hao, Crazy Stone and Crazy Racing. The director arranged many emotional points, or feelings, in the film. But no matter what kind of feelings, the director is extremely impatient and perfunctory to explain. The hero made a rose for the heroine with two forks, so the heroine fell in love with the man who had only met twice. The heroine gave the hero a medicine and some money, and the hero fell in love with the man who cheated him. People in Hong Tao Patriotic Association are symbolic figures who can't see their inner feelings, so their final sacrifice is really touching. Guo Tao plays a very good father, but there are still too few emotional scenes between him and his son. The priest in Fan Wei was puzzled. Finally, why did the hero complete the sublimation of personality, become a hero and a brush?

But in the second half of The Golden Robbery, we kept talking about sacrifice. The main characters died one by one, and it was an armored car that finally wiped out the Japanese? Should I take this as Ning Hao's humor?

Maybe no man's land really hit Ning Hao hard. Maybe Ning Hao is under a lot of unknown pressure. But I really want to tell Ning Hao that he should not overdraw the audience's trust in him, let alone give up his minimum respect for the audience when telling stories, instead of perfunctory now.
