Why did Master Shi Mingxin resign from public office and become a Buddha?

Why do ordinary monks become monks? To put it bluntly, it is to avoid the world. Master Shi Mingxin resigned as a civil servant and devoted himself to Buddhism. In fact, he doesn't like these social customs and people who don't fit in with him, so he prefers to stay away from these people and things and stay alone.

Teacher Shi Mingxin was originally a very obedient and sensible child in the eyes of others, and his academic performance was very good. Born in 1980, 19 years old and admitted to local civil servants, the proportion of 1% is even more amazing than many so-called excellent college students.

Holding an iron rice bowl, the daily work is nothing more than going to work at 8 o'clock and getting off work at 8 o'clock. As long as you are willing to endure, in ten or twenty or thirty years, you will be an official. However, Master Shi Mingxin was not happy. Ten years in it, ten years unhappy. Soon after graduating from school, he took part in the work. Before I could adapt to this society and know how to distinguish people, I plunged into a more complicated dye vat.

He feels that he has to do things with people he doesn't like every day, wronged himself to do things he doesn't like every day, and wears a mask to cater to others every day. The intrigue of officialdom is far more intense than he imagined, and the work within the system can't make him passionate. So in these ten years, Shi Mingxin lost himself. He didn't know what else to do except playing games, that is, going to work, eating and sleeping. He doesn't even want to talk about love, and he feels meaningless.

But everyone is in pain, and we must go through these pains. So Shi Mingxin's initial attitude was to let nature take its course and be forced to accept it. It was not until 2006 that he heard the Buddhist sutra Samsara. It's like someone opened a door and suddenly found his own world. He fell madly in love with Buddhism, was obsessed with it, had the idea of becoming a monk, and secretly went to become a monk.

Unfortunately, his parents found him and arrested him. In the eyes of others, he became the dissatisfied, unprofessional, unappreciative and even mentally abnormal person. No one can understand why he suddenly wants to become a monk, because he is so old.

After three years of enlightenment and persuasion, Shi Mingxin finally impressed his parents with his determination, resigned from his job and officially became a monk in Miaozhi Temple in Yongjia County, his hometown. In the same year, he was admitted to China Buddhist College, the highest institution in China, and became a monk. He even thought about going to the postgraduate entrance examination or studying abroad after graduating from college. What we don't know is that in fact, Buddhist colleges have a lot to learn, not only Buddhist scriptures, but also calligraphy, tea ceremony, music and even foreign languages. At that time, he was almost thirty years old, and it was not hard to start all over again.

In 20 13, Master Shi Mingxin graduated from the Buddhist College and became the abbot of Pu 'an Temple in Zhejiang, and concurrently served as the abbot of Moho Temple in Qinhuangdao. The big boy who was laughed at by everyone finally became his imaginary person and lived his ideal life.
