The strategy of the rise of central China

1. The six central provinces include three central provinces, two eastern provinces and Shanxi Province in North China. During the Eleventh Five-Year Plan period, the plan for the rise of central China was implemented for the first time.

2. The development focus of this period is to rely on the existing foundation, upgrade the industrial level, promote industrialization and urbanization, and rise in the process of giving full play to the advantages of connecting the east with the west and industrial development. Strengthen the construction of modern agriculture, especially the main grain producing areas, increase investment in agricultural infrastructure construction, enhance the production capacity of bulk agricultural products such as grain, and promote the transformation and appreciation of agricultural products.

3. Support Shanxi, Henan and Anhui to strengthen the construction of large coal bases, and develop pithead power stations and coal-electricity joint ventures. Accelerate the structural adjustment of advantageous industries such as steel, chemicals, nonferrous metals and building materials, and form an excellent raw material base.
