The successful launch of Chang 'e-3 only shows that we have the ability to do aerospace system engineering, but it does not completely show that our technology has developed to that level. The main reasons are as follows:

1, the manufacturing level is extremely low. Maybe many people will ask, why can't we build a satellite rocket but a car? In fact, making satellites and rockets does not indicate how high the manufacturing level is. The machine tools and parts we use are imported from abroad, and the machine tools that can meet the requirements of aerospace cannot be made in China. In other words, our manufacturing industry is still very backward. We can design, but we can't do it without relying on outsiders. Once the supply of foreign parts and machine tools is cut off, magnificent buildings will collapse and aerospace projects will be unable to move. From this point of view alone, we are still far from a powerful country in science and technology.

2. A strong country in science and technology should have a broad scientific vision. When Chang 'e ascended to heaven, what the media publicized most was how many resources there were on the moon, or how many years of national dreams had been realized, so as to enhance national pride. But this is not the right idea. Historically, this is undoubtedly short-sighted! At present, European space engineering is more devoted to scientific research, regardless of the gains and losses of one city and one place. Carrying out astronomical exploration, occupying the commanding heights of scientific exploration and promoting the progress of civilization are the scientific horizons that a powerful country in science and technology should have.
