The beaver bridge in Anhui is next door to Tianjia and Jiangshan Village in Hualian Village where I live now. There is also a Jiangshan village in raccoon town, but one belongs to Jiangsu and the other to Anhui.

Beaver Town, located in the southeast of Anhui Province, is the northeast gateway of Xuancheng, bordering Nanjing in Jiangsu Province in the north and at the junction of Jiangsu and Anhui provinces. According to the inquiry, the town covers an area of 228 square kilometers and has a total population of 65,000. It is 40 kilometers away from Xuancheng City, 80 kilometers away from Nanjing 1 10 and Nanjing Lukou Airport.

Liqiao Town, named after the bridge, is located in the north of the town and was built during the reign of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (582-600). There is a folklore about this name: A long time ago, the whole Raccoon Bridge was divided into Shan Ye and farmland by a stream. A kind-hearted, beautiful and dignified woman farmer hired a loyal and honest old worker to take care of farm work for her family. Every year before the spring, the old laborers have to wade through the waist-deep stream and go to the blacksmith's shop on the other side of the mountain to get their plowshares back. Spring rain will come soon. One day, the old laborer came back with a plow, and a flash flood broke out. He was anxious to return to the village and was swept away by the flood in the stream. The hostess waited until late at night, and no one came back. The next day, she found the body of the old laborer in the river, still holding the plow in her hand. The hostess was very moved and remembered the hard work of the old laborer. In order to commemorate him, she decided to build a bridge over the river and named it "Ploughhead Bridge". Over time, people passed on word of mouth, and today's "Beaver Bridge" came into being.

Because they are close to each other, the dialects of raccoon bridge and Gaochun have many similarities in dialect, customs and geographical environment. But the population of Raccoon Town is more than 20,000 people than that of Gucheng Town. Compared with the deserted streets of the ancient town, raccoon town is much more lively. In the morning, the streets of food market and market town are crowded with people who come to buy breakfast and food. Because it is close to Beaver Bridge, villagers in some villages next door will often visit Beaver Bridge.

As early as a few years ago, Li Xuan Road leading to Raccoon Town had not been renovated. Every time I go to raccoon bridge, I know that I have reached the boundary of Anhui as soon as I see that the road is beginning to get bumpy. Every time it rains, there is water in front of the supermarket in the town. The road has been built in recent years, which is good for the villagers who often go to raccoon bridge next door, but the toll booth has been built. So the frequency of going to Beaver Bridge is becoming less and less. Occasionally, when I need to go shopping, I ride an electric tricycle.
