Open Jinan prefecture and capture Wang alive.

1978 In May, Su Yu, then a member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, came to Tanjiaqiao, which was his third visit to this picturesque place.

Su Yu sat silently on a boulder on the left side of the mountain stream at the Baiting Zhu Mu checkpoint in Tanjiaqiao, staring at Shimengang, which was dyed red by the sunset glow in the southeast. Su Yu has been reluctant to leave for a long time. He was in tears, as if he had returned to the thrilling bloody battle 44 years ago. He said to the accompanying Liu Kui:

"I basically won the battle all my life, but I lost the battle here."

1933 and 10, Chiang Kai-shek assembled 100 troops and carried out a large-scale "encirclement and suppression" of the Central Soviet Area. In this campaign, the national army stepped forward step by step and used fortress tactics to compress our army's action space. By the end of the year, the Central Soviet Area has shrunk from vertical and horizontal 1000 to more than 300 vertical and horizontal.

Faced with such a severe military situation, the Red Army decided to make a strategic shift in June 1934+00. The largest army around the Central Soviet Area is the Red Ten Army.

As early as1early July, 934, the Central Revolutionary Military Commission transferred the Red Seven Army Regiment, which had been fighting on the eastern front of the Central Soviet Area for a long time, to form an advance team of the Red Army going north to resist Japan, led by Xun Huaizhou, a promising teenager. At that time, Su Yu was serving as the chief of staff of the Royal Corps.

According to Su Yu's recollection, Xun Huaizhou was an outstanding young commander who grew up during the revolutionary war years. He has never been to the military school in Huaizhou for a day. At that time, he became a teacher at the age of 19, and became a commander with extraordinary military exploits at the age of 20. In the fourth "anti-encirclement and suppression" campaign against Huangpi, he led the Red 2 1 Army deep behind enemy lines, cut off the retreat of the 52nd National Army Division, and created key conditions for the division's total annihilation.

1933, Xun Huaizhou became the head of the Red Seven Army. He was seven years younger than Lin Biao, making him the youngest Red Army chief in history. It can be said that Huaizhou was a rising star of Ran Ran Red Army at that time, and its future was limitless.

According to the order of the Central Military Commission, the Red Army Corps and the Red Army Corps will adopt the tactics of shifting from east to west, break through the encirclement and meet the He Long Department. The Royal Corps was replaced by the "Northern Anti-Japanese Advance Team" and marched into Anhui, Zhejiang and Fujian, which attracted the attention of some Chiang Kai-shek troops and opened up a new Soviet area.

After a long battle, there are only more than 4,000 people left in the Red Seven Army Corps, with only 1300 guns. This task is arduous and arduous. After he went out, the first battle was to capture Fuzhou. However, it is naturally impossible to conquer Fujian, the provincial capital, with thousands of soldiers and horses from He Qi Corps. At Su Yu's suggestion, the Royal Corps gave up its attack on Fuzhou and quickly set out for the guerrilla zone in eastern Fujian.

By June+10/October 10 in 65438, the Central Red Army had left the Central Soviet Area, while the Heqi Corps moved to the Fujian-Zhejiang-Jiangxi Soviet Area where Fang Zhimin was located, and gained a temporary rest. According to the order of the Central Committee, the Red Seven Army Corps merged with the Red 10 Army and soldiers to form the Red Ten Army Corps, which is still called the "Northern Anti-Japanese Advance Team", with three divisions and a strength of 10000.

The head of the legion has also changed. Liu Chouxi, a student of Huangpu Phase I, served as the head of the Corps, Xun Huaizhou was reduced to 19 division commander, and Su Yuze soon became the chief of staff of the Corps.

Unfortunately, however, the merger of the two Red Army did not bring the expected effect of "1+ 1 2". He Qijun is better at regular warfare and has many veterans. The Red Army 10 is better at guerrilla warfare and has more recruits. In 1973, Zhu De pointed out when evaluating this reorganization:

And this co-editor finally doomed the tragic fate of the Red Ten Army.

Chiang Kai-shek was at a loss when he heard that the Red Seven Army Corps and the Red 10 Army were in one place, so he specially dispatched 200,000 troops to deal with the Red Ten Army Corps. At this time, the Red Ten Army Corps has left the Fujian-Zhejiang-Jiangxi Soviet Area and arrived at Tanjiaqiao at the east foot of Huangshan Mountain.

Today, Tanjiaqiao is a picturesque tourist attraction, but it was a bloody battlefield for the anti-Japanese advance team in the north.

After arriving at Tanjiaqiao, Liu Chouxi learned that a national army was following here. They are the supplementary first brigade led by the national army expert Wang.

Wang, we are all familiar with him. At that time, he was still a rookie and his fame was not very great. He took the lead in making meritorious deeds, threw off friendly forces and became a depth bomb in pursuit of the Red Army.

The enemy is alone. It's time to panic. Born in the first phase of Huangpu, naturally, he will not go easy on Wang, the younger brother of the third phase primary school. He believes that the adowa king will change the situation of long-term passive beating.

Liu Chouxi believes that this campaign should be dominated by his old army, the 20th Division adapted from the Red Tenth Army. After all, as an old army, Liu Chouxi is more handy to use.

In this regard, Chief of Staff Su Yu raised an objection. Su Yu believes that the 20th Division was originally a local unit and was better at guerrilla warfare. The 19 division, which was downsized from the Red Seven Army Corps, has rich operational experience and is more suitable as the main attack. The two sides argued for some time, but in the end, Su Yu chose to obey the leader. Change 19 division into troops, and prepare to cut off the enemy's back road.

Subsequently, the Red 10 Army units lurked in the jungles on both sides of the road that the king's troops had to pass. Not only that, Su Yu also sent some scouts to walk freely on the road disguised as locals.

In the view of Liu Chouxi, Xun Huaizhou, Su Yu and other generals, it should not be a problem for adowa to supplement a brigade. Su Yu later recalled that the intention of this battle was very good. As long as we can annihilate and replenish the First Brigade, we can replenish a large number of personnel and ammunition for the Red Army and destroy the arrogance of the enemy's pursuit.

The Red 19 Division and the Supplementary 1st Brigade are old rivals. The two sides have fought many times, and the first brigade has never taken any advantage. Therefore, many commanders and fighters think that the first brigade is "an unbeaten force, and it is no match for our army at all."

But in fact, the first brigade is not weak in fighting capacity, nor is it a miscellaneous army. They are well-equipped, the troops are of high quality, most of the officers are from military schools, and their combat effectiveness is not weak. Although its name has the word "supplement", it is still a direct unit of the Central Army.

At the same time, although Wang is a rookie, he showed his military talents in the civil war. In the fourth counter-campaign against "encirclement and suppression", Wang led his troops to stick to the strategic position of Yihuang for 24 days, which was called a miracle by Chiang Kai-shek. Therefore, Chiang Kai-shek is quite optimistic about the king.

Wang is no stranger to the Red Ten Army. He once said to his three heads:

Know yourself and know yourself, and you will win every battle. The Red Ten Army looked down on the king from top to bottom, and finally they suffered a great loss. However, even so, the Red Army has a good chance of winning. Compared with the supplement of more than 7,000 people in the first brigade, the Red Ten Corps has 1 10,000 more people, which is dominant in number and occupies a favorable position in geographical position. If nothing happens to Wang, he will be doomed. But unfortunately, there was an accident on the battlefield.

At this time, Wang's two regiments are stepping into the ambush circle of the Red Army. Topographically, Tanjiaqiao is indeed a good place to ambush.

This place is located at the junction of three counties: Tai (Ping), Jing (De) and Bo (County). Since ancient times, it has been guarding the traffic arteries of Huizhou (prefecture) and Ningxia (prefecture), and the Dayan Highway under construction passes through the territory from north to south. This village is very large, with about 1000 households. There are two mountains around the village, Queling in the east and Huangshan in the west, with a flat valley and Machuan River in the middle from south to north, the Wuniguan mountain pass and the commanding heights of Shimengang and Snake Mountain in the south, and a small hillside all the way north of Wuniguan, with dense forests and dangerous terrain.

Su Yu proposed that the advance team ambush the 19th and 20th Divisions from south to north along both sides of the highway. When the enemy passes through Wumiguan and all enter the ambush area, it will immediately block Wumiguan, cut off the enemy's retreat and block aid to the enemy. Part of the 20 th Division and 19 Division immediately attacked the enemy in the middle, destroying most of them on the highway.

Su Yu is well-planned, but most of the soldiers in 20 Normal University are recruits. They have never ambushed on such a large scale and lack field experience, so they are very nervous.

At this time, a new Red Army soldier was too nervous and suddenly shot ahead of time. It was this shot that broke all the plans made by Liu Chouxi, Xun Huaizhou and Su Yu, and also put more than 10,000 officers and men of the Red Ten Army in a desperate situation.

The avant-garde troops of the first brigade immediately became alert, and they soon discovered the ambush plan of the Red Army. So they seized the highland by the roadside and sent someone to fly to the back to report the situation to Wang.

Alarming the snake is a taboo for military strategists. Liu Chouxi was angry and anxious, so he gave the order to attack in advance. Because the enemy was well prepared and not completely surrounded, the ambush war turned into an encounter in an instant.

Although Wang was in a passive position, he soon realized that the Red Army lurking in front was not too strong. So the king immediately dispatched machine guns and mortars to suppress the fire of our army. Our army was originally short of guns and bullets and lacked field experience. Under the heavy fire of the enemy, it soon fell behind.

Although the officers and men of the Red 20 Division fought bravely, they failed to defeat the enemy's impact in the end, and their positions were finally washed away by the enemy. With the continuous influx of officers and men who supplemented the First Brigade, Wuniguan and Tanjiaqiao Highlands lost their opponents, and the battlefield initiative completely changed hands.

Seeing the defeat of the Red 20 Division in Huaizhou, he immediately changed the original plan of detouring behind enemy lines, but immediately fully supported the Red 20 Division and regained the highland.

When the Red 19 Division arrived at Wuniguan, Wang Yituan had firmly occupied the commanding heights, and the Red 19 Division was cut off by machine guns under the cliff, making it difficult to deploy troops.

Looking for Huaizhou, he personally picked up a light machine gun and fired at the enemy. Encouraged by Xun Huaizhou, the Red Army launched four consecutive charges against the enemy. When firearms and ammunition were insufficient, the Red Army blew horns, held spears and bayonets, and waved broadswords to fight bravely with the enemy.

After repeated attacks, the Wuniguan highland was finally captured, but the Red 19 Division also ran out of offensive kinetic energy and lost its ability to fight again. What is even more embarrassing is that Huaizhou, who took the lead, was unfortunately shot in the abdomen and was seriously injured. On the way to Maolin, the brave young general died at the age of 22.

Xun Huaizhou is so young. If he can continue to live, I don't know how much meritorious service he can make for the people. Unfortunately, however, he was so young and promising that he died at the foot of the beautiful Huangshan Mountain.

After eight hours of bloody fighting, the Red Ten Army Corps and the Supplementary First Brigade were all defeated. In this bloody battle, Su Yu was also injured. He maintained the troops with other commanders and soldiers, and finally quietly withdrew from the battlefield.

After the Battle of Tanjiaqiao, the blood of martyrs dyed the mountains and rivers of Tanjiaqiao red, and the tragedy of the Red Ten Army was inevitable.

The tragic battle of Tanjiaqiao became a turning point in the fate of the Red Ten Army. If we win this battle, the Red Ten Army will replenish a large number of weapons and trench, and truly gain a foothold in southern Anhui. But unfortunately, the Red Army failed and could not establish Soviet area in southern Anhui.

In order to get rid of the enemy's encirclement and interception, from193465438+February to193565438+1October, the Red Ten Army did not fight every day, and its troops gradually consumed, and the situation became increasingly sinister.

1935 65438+ 10, the advance team was besieged by the enemy chieftain's residual stones in Huaiyushan, east Jiangxi. In addition to more than 800 people led by Su Yu and Liu Ying, Liu Chouxi, Fang Zhimin and 1000 heroic comrades were trapped in the enemy's cage.

With the shrinking of the encirclement, the Red Ten Army was hungry and cold, and had to feed on grass roots and bark. Although the Red Ten Army Corps is on the verge of despair, the days of the various units of the National Army are also difficult. Yu Jishi kept asking Chiang Kai-shek: "Can you withdraw your rest?"

But at this moment, Fang Zhimin's guards flagrantly defected and confessed to Yu Jishi about Liu Chouxi and Fang Zhimin. Under Chiang Kai-shek's strict orders, the encirclement was maintained.

1On October 27th, Liu Chouxi, who was shot in both hands, was found. Only two days later, Fang Zhimin was also captured.

Soon, Liu Chouxi was escorted to the front of Yu Jishi. As a student of Huangpu Phase I, Yu Jishi didn't even say hello. He wore a cloak, baked a bonfire and waved Liu Chouxi down. Later, stevie hoang heard about it and cursed in time:

After being escorted to the rear, Chiang Kai-shek, Gu and others took turns to persuade him to surrender. As a student of Huangpu Phase I, Liu Chouxi can not only get rid of the prisoner's dilemma immediately, but also be promoted to a higher position.

However, Liu Chouxi just looked at the lobbyist contemptuously, and then looked proudly into the distance. No matter friendship, rank or death, Liu Chouxi's iron will will never waver. As he said:

Fang Zhimin was also persuaded to surrender. Like Liu Chouxi, his firm belief made him reject all threats and temptations. Not only that, he also wrote "Lovely China" in prison. Even the director of the detention center was moved by his iron-blooded character and tough guy temperament, and took the initiative to send this short article that touched countless people outside the prison.

On August 6th, 1935, Fang Zhimin and Liu Chouxi walked side by side to the execution ground in Nanchang, where they died heroically.

Nowadays, few people know the names of Liu Chouxi and Xun Huaizhou. They didn't have time to see the day when the new China was founded, didn't enjoy the glory entrusted to them by the people, and didn't have medals on their chests. But their fighting spirit, their loyalty and their blood will always be the soul that supports the people's army to overcome all difficulties!

The collapse of the Red Tenth Army made Su Yu feel like a knife. But now is not the time to mourn the comrades-in-arms, and the legacy of the martyrs must be inherited. Su Yu and Liu Ying led eight hundred heroes in the end and plunged into the mountains in southern Zhejiang, starting his arduous guerrilla war for three years.

On April 28th, 1938, Su Yu, who has become the deputy division commander of the second detachment of the New Fourth Army, passed Tanjiaqiao again on his way to the enemy's rear. Looking around, it is still a lush, pine and cypress-covered, endless stream, as if the dead comrades are sending him and his new comrades off and embarking on a new anti-Japanese journey.

Su Yu's eyes were filled with tears. People along the way heard that Su Yu's team was the Red Ten Army, with strict discipline and no offense in autumn. They beat gongs and drums and came to see me off like long-lost relatives. Some people even signed up for the army. The blood of the martyrs did not flow in vain, and the revolutionary seeds sown by the advance team have already taken root in the hearts of the working people in Huangshan.

After the defeat in the battle of Tanjiaqiao, Su Yu has been reflecting. More than 40 years later, when he reviewed this history, he objectively analyzed the reasons for the failure of the advance team. In his view, although the command of the Red Ten Army is flawed, it is not fatal. The colonel's determination and operational deployment are correct. But the enemy is too strong, and the Red Ten Army, which is fighting alone, can't afford any mistakes. Coupled with the subjective "Left-leaning" wrong strategic decision of our army, the Red Ten Army finally went to a dead end.

However, Tan Jiaqiao's failure did not defeat Su Yu or his eight hundred heroes. They turned themselves into kindling and inherited the legacy of the martyrs. A single spark left by the Red Ten Army eventually burned the whole of vilen. As Jin Yinan said:

Su Yu dried his tears, summed up his lessons, and finally grew into a peerless star who was invincible and commanded a million-strong army. The battle of Tanjiaqiao was a rare failure in Su Yu's life, but it also made him successful.

On September 24th, 1948, under the command of Su Yu, the East China Field Army entered Jinan City, shouting the slogan "Go to Jinan House and take the king alive". Wang, the winner of Tanjiaqiao, fled in disguise and was finally caught by the militia in Shouguang County. At this moment, I wonder if Su Yu would think of burying Maolin in Huaizhou, and Fang Zhimin and Liu Chouxi were shot in Nanchang. I think this is inevitable. There is a saying in Chen Yi that "good news flies like paper money".

Did you see Fang Zhimin, Xun Huaizhou and Hu Martyr?

With a flick of a finger,1May, 978, Su Yu returned to Tanjiaqiao. He sat on a boulder for a long time and didn't want to leave. Finally, he burst into tears and made up his mind. After returning to Beijing, Su Yu said to his wife Chu Qing:

1984, after the death of Su Yu. The Central Committee listened to Su Yu's suggestion. On April 28th, part of Su Yu's ashes were buried on the back hillside about 100 meters away from Baiting Zhu Mu checkpoint. No ceremony was held and no eulogy was read. The great general Su finally accompanied his comrades in arms to sleep here day and night.
