Miscellaneous Notes —— Reflections on Performance

The farce at the dinner table ended in the most perfect and intriguing way, giving people the illusion that everything is an illusion and an illusion. So, what is real? Is it everyone's true self that ends in tragedy, or is it a hypocritical self that ends in harmony with a mask? It seems that each of us is fragile. In this case, then keep your unbearable self and whitewash a pleasant mask to face others, which is better and kinder to each other. But is the truth really that terrible? Actually, I think so. The true self may even feel afraid of himself or even don't want to face it. So, where is the meaning of life and human existence? Such a movie seems to reveal the ugly side of human nature, but it can let the audience see themselves, the real and naked themselves. Perhaps, the trust between people is really so fragile. The reason, clearly stated in the lines, is selfishness.

Italians seem to be good at showing hidden things to the world in the sun in the form of art. As early as the Renaissance, Boccaccio skillfully used this technique.
