The relationship between culture and politics

Culture and politics belong to the category of superstructure. A certain social culture serves a certain politics (culture serves the ruling class), and politics (ruling class) guides the direction of culture through public opinion and adjusts the direction of culture through state machinery, which are inseparable.

The difference between them is that culture is the sum of material wealth and spiritual wealth created by human beings in the process of social and historical development, especially spiritual wealth, such as literature, art, education, science, etc. Politics is the concentrated expression of economy, the relationship and struggle between classes, and its core is the issue of state power.

They are closely linked and influence each other. Culture plays two roles in the integration with politics. On the one hand, in order to better participate in political life, people need to constantly improve their cultural literacy; On the other hand, with the development of multi-polarization in the world, western powers promote their own values through cultural infiltration in an attempt to weaken or even replace the national cultures of other countries. Therefore, the worldwide struggle against cultural hegemonism has become an important part of contemporary international political struggle.
