Is there an afterlife?

Of course, there are not only past lives, but also countless past lives, always called past lives. However, most people think there is a letter, but there is no letter. In fact, it mainly depends on whether you have a relationship with Buddha. People with deep predestination may have shown it very early. People who have no fate will not feel the existence of Buddha even at the age of seventy.

For Buddhism, there are positive beliefs and superstitions. It should be said that superstitious people, because of their low self-accomplishment, know little about the profound thoughts of Buddhism, and are easily used by lawless elements wearing Buddhist cloaks; For those who believe in Buddhism, because of their high quality, they have a good understanding of Buddhism and their own world outlook.

People who are predestined friends with Buddhism will believe in the existence of Buddhism at some time in their lives because of the coincidence of karma. People not only have past lives, but also countless past lives. All sentient beings who are not divorced from life and death are suffering in the six divisions of the wheel of karma.

Buddhists believe that pure yin is a ghost, pure yang is a fairy, yin and yang are intertwined, and non-yin and non-yang are buddhas.

After death, the fate of the afterlife is determined by what you have done in the past, whether doing good is redundant to doing evil or doing evil is redundant to doing good. It should be noted that there are small evils and big evils. It is evil to spoil food, gossip about others, insult others, and even see beautiful women with impure thoughts.

Similarly, doing good deeds can be divided into small favors and great favors. Anything done with goodwill is good, even a few words of comfort are good. If you can sacrifice your life for righteousness, it belongs to great goodness. If you can copy and spread Buddhist scriptures and build temples, it belongs to great merit. Therefore, the ancients said: don't be small with good, don't be small with evil. Because small bad karma will accumulate into great evil, and small good karma can accumulate into great good.

If good and evil are roughly equal, you will still be human in the afterlife. If good and evil are similar, but if you do more evil, the afterlife may be very hard and there will be few blessings. More bad karma may lead to deafness, disability and mental retardation. If sin is far greater than good deeds, it may become an animal. If you commit a big crime, you may suffer in hell. People who commit heinous crimes will not only be reincarnated hundreds of times in the form of animals, but also be thrown into eighteen layers of hell after paying their sins and will never be able to live beyond life.

If doing good is greater than doing evil, you will get wealth in the afterlife. If you have great merits, you can ascend to heaven directly and enjoy greater blessings.

It is said that people who often burn incense and worship Buddha will grow very beautiful in the afterlife. People who often spoil food are likely to become beggars in the afterlife. To be an emperor, you must have great merits for ten years in a row. If a person is sinful, he may suffer in the six divisions of the wheel of karma, or even fall into endless hell and never turn over.

Even if you become an immortal, you may fall into the six divisions in the wheel of karma. Although being immortal is a great blessing, you can live for tens of thousands of years or even longer, but you will enjoy it one day. Only buddhas, bodhisattvas and big arhats can become immortals, that is, people often say, "jumping out of the three realms is not in the five elements."

But neither Bodhisattva nor Lohan is perfect, and both need to continue to practice. Only the Buddha is perfect.

Buddhism says that the ten-square world is divided into color world, color world and achromatic world, and * * * has 28 layers of heaven. The heaven where the Jade Emperor is located is called Helitian, which is the second floor of the heaven and belongs to the next floor. This layer of heaven belongs to the field of desire, that is, desire has not been completely eliminated.

The jade emperor's life span is 1000 years, which is equivalent to human's 1000 years on the previous day. So it's about 36 million years according to the earth's year, so the life span is particularly long.

However, the higher the heaven, the higher the life expectancy. In the colorless heaven, some people can live to more than 1 cataclysm, and a cataclysm is equivalent to128 billion years, which is longer than the life span of the sun and the earth from birth to extinction.

Different providence is different. Although the life span of senior celestial beings is longer than that of the earth, the blessings will eventually run out and eventually fall into the six divisions in the wheel of karma. If you want to avoid falling into the wheel of karma, you must get rid of all kinds of desires, do more good deeds, be brave and diligent, constantly evolve your soul and see your nature clearly.

People often say, "Jumping out of the three realms is not in the five elements." Only Buddha and Bodhisattva, the Great Arhat, can do it. Without the six divisions in the wheel of karma, life will never die.

Buddha is the awakened one who gained dzogchen by practicing. Although Bodhisattva and Lohan are not perfect, they have both jumped out of the three realms and are no longer bothered by life and death.

However, there are countless buddhas in the ten-square world. When Buddha Sakyamuni preached to all beings, he said that there are hundreds of millions of buddhas in the ten worlds, just like the Ganges sand.

Buddhists say that the world is full of miracles. The world we understand now is the time and space that astronomers think the infinite universe contains. There are countless stars, and stars like the sun are simply astronomical. According to our human understanding, 10 million such worlds constitute an Hanazono Sakura world, 10 million Hanazono Sakura worlds constitute an intermediate world, and 10 million intermediate worlds constitute a big world.

Every universe has a Buddha that embodies all beings in this universe. The world in which Sakyamuni Buddha lives is called Bodhisattva World (according to Buddhist classics, Maitreya Buddha will take over after Sakyamuni Buddha dies), the western world is taught by Amitabha Buddha, and the oriental glass world is taught by pharmacist Buddha.

A certain universe constitutes a Buddhist country, and there is a Buddhism that condenses all beings in this universe. However, there are countless worlds. The sum of all worlds is called the ten-square world by Buddhists, and there are hundreds of millions of Buddhists in the ten-square world.

Therefore, we often say: the world is full of wonders.
