How long is the incubation period of rabies?

In addition, the incubation period of rabies is also related to the immunity of the infected person, the amount of invading virus and other factors, but in any case, 90% people will get sick within 3 months, and the cases with incubation period exceeding 1 year do not exceed 1% of the total number.

At present, the longest incubation period of rabies recognized by academic circles is 6 years, which was reported by American scholars in 199 1. As for other records with longer incubation period, they have not been recognized by experts. Because for cases with long incubation period, doctors can only use the patient's memory as the diagnostic standard when asking about the condition, but because the patient's memory is too difficult to judge whether it is accurate or not, these recorded cases with long incubation period cannot be recognized by scholars.

Of course, scientists do not deny that there will be cases with a long incubation period, but this situation is extremely rare and should not be publicized to cause misunderstanding and panic.
