Saxton's Three Principles of Magic

(1) Never tell the secret of magic.

This is the first and most important rule of all magicians' rules. Instead of treating you as a god, I treat you as a liar and an idiot.

Some people agree with what the masked magician said: The secrets of magic must be made public in order for magic to progress. Yes, the secrets of magic should be disclosed to those who are willing to learn magic, but they should not be disclosed to the public without any cost or restrictions. Not everyone needs to know magic, a certain threshold is required. This sentence is just an excuse for him to create a personal image of a tragic hero. Because of his show, magicians in some areas lost their jobs, and he himself made a lot of money. Is this a moral act? He insulted the audience's right to appreciate it, and yet people applauded.

The Masked Magician program may have given some beginners and ordinary people incorrect concepts of magic, causing them to ignore the secrets of magic and disrespect magic performances. If you agree with the masked saying that the secrets of magic must be disclosed in order for magic to progress, then why don’t you practice it and show it to the audience yourself after each performance?

The secret of magic is the power of the magician. The origin is just like the meaning of hair to the great-grandson of Hercules in the Book of Judges in the Bible. The magician who has lost his secret has no power anymore and is just a lion trapped in a cage. The power is there, but it has no ability to hurt anyone.

(2) Do not perform the same magic in front of the same audience.

After you perform, if the audience asks you to change it again, it means that your performance is very successful, but please remember, never do the same trick again, because you will risk being exposed. , and became a clown. It is best not to use the same technique more than twice to avoid being seen through by the audience.

(3) Do not explain the content of the performance first.

Magic emphasizes the so-called sense of surprise. If you let the audience know the next step you want to do, what drama and sense of surprise will there be? Like a movie or novel whose outcome is already known, it loses its magic. Therefore, please do not tell the effect and result of your performance before performing. And there is also the risk of being exposed. On the other hand, magic performances should not be carried out in a rigid manner. The content must be varied to attract the audience.

Thoseton's Three Principles are the most basic principles that magicians and magicians must abide by, but some people often ignore them.

Usually before teaching magic in the first lesson of class, I will first explain the three principles of Thaxton, and explain that a truly powerful magician is very graceful when appreciating other people's performances. Respect your peers (and also respect the seniors who invented these techniques), and will not try to crack or debunk others (some people know one and a half moves and think they are experts and try to crack others when they are performing).
