Just as Qian Xuesen's problems didn't help China people win the Nobel Prize at all, the expectation of students' elitism can't cultivate elites, but will only add long-term extra psychological pressure to students and play an unnecessary negative role. According to my observation, the emergence of elite, of course, needs many basic educational conditions first: for example, the material conditions are basically sufficient, you can have access to rich learning materials, you have a good and healthy relationship with your classmates in the learning process, you have a scientific study plan and time pressure, and you are fortunate to meet a good professional, responsible and patient teacher. In addition to these basic conditions, the most important thing is whether there are internal driving factors in this person's mind. This internal cause may be interest, simple and strong curiosity, or deep confusion about the unreasonable phenomenon in this world. This internal cause is needed because a person needs long-term study, accumulation and thinking to become an expert master in a field, and needs constant attention to details, and this internal cause is often the only long-term motivation that can support this person to overcome various difficulties and temptations and persist in going on. On the contrary, the social expectations of the outside world will only distract this person constantly, and he will often consciously or unconsciously think about what he should do to satisfy the people around him, instead of thinking about what this thing I want to study is about.

Therefore, it is possible that the university can come back to boast that it is the heavy weapon of the country after it becomes something, but before it becomes something, it is still necessary to focus on the knowledge and management of the university before it can finally become something. After doing something, an elite may look back and say that he has always made up his mind to change the world, but before doing something (especially in learning), he must concentrate on his knowledge accumulation, confusion elimination and growth implementation, and can't take any national pillar seriously before he can do anything. Originally, everyone will inevitably have their own selfishness and humanity, and they will not be indifferent and quiet from time to time. It's hard enough to focus on this matter itself. If you are unfortunately still living in the pseudo-elite education system, the outside world keeps telling you that you are an elite, you are a heavy weapon, you have to serve the country, you can't do this or that, you will become very, very difficult to concentrate, and the better you do, the better you will be, the more social expectations you will bear, and the more difficult it will be for you to concentrate. Without long-term concentration, it is difficult to get ahead and achieve great things.

Everyone wants you to do something, you want to do it yourself, but one day you find that you can't do it after all. This brings a sense of oppression to people (especially young people), and it is easy to make people cynical and turn to retaliatory utilitarianism: I am so arrogant, so educated and so excellent that I can't concentrate on my work, not even my master. Can't making money and fooling around kill you weak people?

All great things have a-and often must have a-humble and small beginning. Liberalism can become the soil for many great innovations precisely because of its tolerance, respect and indifference to humble and insignificant people.

Liberalism cannot ask for writing revolutionary songs, being a national elite, having correct values and being full of educational significance.
