This question is one of my favorite questions to ask in interviews. It opens the door for candidates to tell me a story that allows me to see them as a flesh-and-blood human being. Let’s look at it. In a small startup, team members must be versatile, responsible for many tasks at the same time, and able to overcome a variety of challenges. If they can tell me a story about the best thing they’ve ever done, I can understand their passions and what excites them. Then I knew if their passion could work in our company as well.
