Social harm of regional discrimination

The social harm of regional discrimination is obvious. Taking Northeast China and Henan as examples, geographical discrimination not only deprives some people of their right to exist to a certain extent, causing social injustice, but also easily causes some people with low quality to break the jar and break the fall, causing new harm to society. Gossip and social cancer are more important than swords. If a country with a population of1300 million, hundreds of millions of people are treated unfairly, the "explosive force" generated by these people after being angered can be imagined. Therefore, we must take precautions and attach great importance to regional discrimination.

Regional discrimination violates the concepts of fairness, equality and justice advocated by modern society and is not conducive to the protection of human rights. Any society, let alone development, is also the minimum foundation in terms of stability. A fair society has at least three levels of fairness: one is the fairness of the starting point, the other is the fairness of the process, and the third is the fairness of the result. If a person is discriminated against, it will have a negative psychological impact on the individual, and even make the individual take some extreme revenge on the society. We want to build a harmonious society, and regional discrimination will breed some potential social contradictions and easily bring some negative effects to the harmonious society.

First, regional discrimination is not conducive to building a fair and just harmonious society. Regional discrimination violates the basic norms of fairness and justice and is unfair to those who are discriminated against and lack justice. The contempt for dialects on buses, signs posted by some shops that do not sell foreign goods, employers claiming that they don't want people from other places, and the phenomenon of "resolutely cracking down on blackmail gangs in Henan" posted by a police station in Shenzhen on 20 1 1 are all illegal acts that run counter to fairness and justice.

Second, regional discrimination is not conducive to building a harmonious society of honesty and friendship. Honesty requires social members to consciously abide by social rules, regulations and public order, and friendliness emphasizes advocating equality, friendship and harmonious coexistence of all people in the whole society.

Third, regional discrimination is not conducive to the formation of a social situation in which each can do his best and live in harmony. Regional discrimination will make society difficult to integrate. After the intensification of contradictions, it is easy to lead to the tearing state of society, which is what sociologists call "broken society." A "broken society" can never be a harmonious society.
