What is platonic love like?
Plato believes that when the mind abandons the body and yearns for the truth, then thought is the best. When the soul is infected by the sins of the body, people's desire for truth will not be satisfied. When human beings have no strong demand for sensuality, their mood is peaceful. Carnal desire is the expression of animal nature in human nature, and it is also the nature of every creature. People are so-called higher animals because human nature is stronger than animal nature, and spiritual communication is beautiful and moral.
Platonic love has the following meanings:
1. Ideal view of love (metaphor for extremely romantic or impossible view of love)
2. Pure spiritual love, not physical love
3. Love concept of equality between men and women
There is only one person in this world. For you (you), she (he) is perfect and only for you (you). In other words, everyone has his perfect partner, and there is only one.
The first meaning is the most commonly used, but it is actually a misunderstanding. But since everyone uses it this way, it's another meaning. This misunderstanding comes from Plato's masterpiece The Republic. This book discusses how to build an ideal country, because it may be too idealistic to be realized, so some people use it to explain what Platonic love is.
The second meaning is often used, but it is basically a misunderstanding. This misunderstanding comes from Plato's metaphysics. He thinks that what we think is true, and the "real world" we see is not true.
The third and fourth meanings are really Plato's view of love or gender.
Plato believes that people are in the most real conceptual world before and after death, where everyone is a complete man and woman, and in this world we are all divided into two. So people always feel that if they lose something, they will try to find their own "other half" (this word also comes from Plato's theory). Plato also used this to explain why people have "relationships".
In his theory, no half is more important, so men and women are equal. Moreover, the original half of you in the conceptual world is the perfect object for you. He/she is looking for you somewhere in the world.
Legend of origin
People in China often call a person who doesn't speak seriously, does things seriously, does things casually and makes a fool of himself or "250". According to research, there are roughly the following possible sources:
First of all, from the story of the Warring States period,
During the Warring States Period, there was a historical figure named Su Qin, who was a strategist. He persuaded the six countries of Korea, Wei, Zhao, Qi, Yan and Chu to unite and form an alliance against the enemy of the same country, Qin, which was appreciated by the great kings and was named as the prime minister, known as the "six-country seal" in history.
When Su Qin played an active role in Qi, he met an assassin. Su Qin was stabbed in the chest and died that night. The King of Qi was very angry after hearing the news and immediately ordered the murderer to be caught. But the assassin has escaped without a trace. Where can he catch him? The King of Qi had a brainwave and came up with a clever plan to lure the snake out of the hole. He ordered Su Qin's head to be cut off, and his body was whipped with a whip, so that his head was covered with blood. Then he hung his bloody head at the city gate and posted a yellow list, which read: "Su Qin was a big spy and deserved to die. The king of Qi always wanted to kill him, but he didn't think of any good way. Fortunately, he did it.
As soon as this list came out, someone took the bait. Four people came to receive the reward, and they all insisted that Su Qin had killed himself. So the soldiers "invited" them to see the king of Qi. The King of Qi gnashed his teeth when he saw the four of them. But he still solemnly asked: "How to divide this 1200 gold?" These four people didn't know that they had been cheated, but they were so happy that they immediately replied, "This is easy, 1000 ÷ 4 = 250, 250 each."
After listening to this, the King of Qi was still thinking about the reward in high spirits and was furious: "Push these four 250 out and behead them!" These four men became scapegoats and were killed. The real assassin, said to be a killer sent by the State of Qin, has already fled back to the State of Qin. Since then, the folk have left a saying of 250, which is often used to describe fools and idiots.
Second, the story from the Tang Dynasty.
The "mayor" scene in Chang 'an in the Tang Dynasty was very powerful, and there was a huge ceremonial team when going on patrol. The official name of the small official escorting the way in front is "Drinking Wu Bai", with a long pole in his hand, driving the pioneers. Later, Wu Bai was added as two people, but Chang 'an people did not call them Er Wu Bai's. But that they are * * * of Wu Bai, so everyone calls them two hundred and fifty, and because everyone has a long pole in his hand, they are also called Er Ganzi. This shows that Chang 'an people dislike officials who abuse power for personal gain. Today, two hundred and fifty and two Ganzi have become synonymous with reckless, rude and rude people. This shows that the people in Chang 'an in Tang Dynasty were disgusted with officials who abused their power for their own benefit.
Third, from folklore.
Once upon a time, there was a scholar who forgot to eat and sleep and studied hard in order to gain fame, but he never won a prize in his life or even had a son. In his later years, the old scholar was finally disheartened and indifferent to fame and fortune. Instead, I was very satisfied with my son and added two talents. The scholar recalled the success or failure of his life and couldn't help feeling deeply, so he named his two sons: one was success and the other was failure. From then on, the scholar studied behind closed doors at home and lived happily. One day, the scholar told his wife, "I'm going to the market." You urge your second son to write at home. The eldest son writes 300, and the youngest son writes 200. " After the scholar came back from the fair, he asked his second son how to study hard at home. The old lady replied, "I wrote it, but it's not enough. It's more than enough. Both of them are 250! "
Fourth, it comes from pushing Pai Jiu.
Pai Jiu is a gambling tool, which consists of two cards, namely "Baner" (four points) and "Wu Yao" (six points). These two cards together form ten points, which is called "shooting ten" in the gambling activities of pushing Pai Jiu. It is the smallest point in the ninth row, and anyone is bigger than it. It can't "eat" any cards, so later people used the word "Banerwu" (short for "He") to refer to those who can't do anything well and can't control anything. After a long time, I will call "two boards and five" "two hundred and fifty". In Hong Kong, it is also customarily called "Erwuzai".
Verb (abbreviation for verb) Other declarations
A Chinese book in a middle school says that ancient people used silver in two parts. Generally speaking, 520 is an integer unit, wrapped in paper. At that time, 520 was "one letter" and 252 was "half-sealed" silver. Because it was homophonic with "semi-crazy", people later called the madman "250".
Once upon a time, there was a fool whose family had fallen. One day, he went to sell a family heirloom, which said "sold 258 Liang". As a result, when he sold it, someone bargained with him. If he wanted it, he gave 250 taels and sold 250 taels of gold. Many people laughed at him for missing eight taels of gold and being an idiot. Since then, people have called people who are confused about things 250.
In modern times, it is said that some people learn the songs of the singer Wu Bai, but they can't learn them at all. Some people say that he is at most half a hundred.
"Medium-cooked" in Tengzhou dialect in Shandong Province means "250". Here, fools or people who are not serious, careless and like to make a fool of themselves are called "semi-cooked" (pronounced "semi-floating").
