A saint who has been born out of the world has spent many kalpas cultivating causes, and his actions are full of fruition. In the sleep of all ignorance, he suddenly realizes and understands the truth of the universe wonderfully, like stubborn clouds opening, so he is called an awakened person.

Awakening has three meanings: right awakening, equal awakening, and supreme awakening. Zhengjue is simply different from ordinary people's ignorance and heretic's evil awareness. Ordinary people are not clear about the truth of things and have all kinds of confusions, so they are called unconsciousness. Relying on limited concentration and general power, heretics see certain parts of the truth of things, hold them as true, establish various erroneous theories, and claim to be enlightened, but in fact they are still delusions of leakage and discrimination.

The meaning of equal enlightenment is universal enlightenment. Different from the two-vehicle saints, although they are fully enlightened, they are not fully enlightened. The Buddha is blessed with great compassion and is aware of all sentient beings with his self-consciousness, so he is an all-enlightened one.

The Supreme Awakening Bodhisattva Jianbie, the Bodhisattva who has ascended to the ground has not yet perfected his blessings and wisdom, but the Buddha’s compassion, wisdom, deeds, and vows have all been ultimately perfected. There is nothing better or comparable to it, so he is called the Supreme Awakening. There are three kinds of awareness: self-consciousness, awareness of others, and awareness of perfect conduct. The understanding is true and constant, and confusion and falsehood are realized, that is, realizing the truth is self-consciousness, cultivating unconditional kindness, saving sentient beings to awaken others, reaching the bottom of the source, and completing the full fruit of actions is the perfection of enlightenment. The Buddha also has ten titles, namely, Tathagata, who takes the truthful path to achieve enlightenment; he who deserves to be offered, should be supported by humans and heaven; he who is the right and omniscient, truly knows all dharma; he who has sufficient understanding and practice, the three luminaries are perfect, The three karma are not lost; the good death is to enter nirvana freely; the understanding of the world is to understand all the things in the world; the supreme scholar is the supreme wise man; the charioteer husband is the man who can chasten and correct the path; the master of heaven and man is the master of all heavenly beings.
