A bell circuit is made in our laboratory, which includes 1 12V power supply, 1 "6V 6W "bell, switch and wires. What about normal work?

1. Connect a 6 ohm resistor in series.

The voltage of 12V is too high. Connect a resistor in series and divide the voltage in series.

When the bell works normally, the current is I = p/u = 6w/6v =1a.

Because of the series connection, the current of the bell and the resistor in series connection are equal, both of which are 1A, and the voltage of the bell is 12V-6V=6V.

Therefore, the resistance value of the series resistor is R=6V/ 1A=6 ohms.
