However, compared to what ZTE has encountered, Huawei is already doing better. Because the United States directly "blocked" ZTE in the first place. All U.S. companies are prohibited from selling parts, goods, software, and technology to ZTE. However, what is a bit strange is why the United States is so cruel to ZTE, but is different when it comes to Huawei? The reasons are likely to be these two points.

ZTE and Huawei are still different from the perspective of the United States. First of all, ZTE relies on the United States for technology. ZTE's main businesses include base stations, optical communications and mobile phones. Although there are no problems with the basic modules, we still have to rely on the United States for chips. So in a certain sense, ZTE is stuck in a weak spot by the United States.

But it’s different when it comes to Huawei. Huawei has its own technology and its own chip research and development technology. Moreover, it recently announced its own system. If one day the United States does not allow it to use the Android system, the worst case scenario is that it will use its own system. From this perspective, the United States does not dare to treat Huawei lightly, because Huawei is not restricted by it. However, this is only the first point.

The second point is that ZTE was banned at that time. I believe many people also know the reason. That is, ZTE violated some U.S. sanctions that restricted Iran from selling U.S. technology. In the end, ZTE lost the lawsuit and ZTE's shares were temporarily suspended. Although the settlement was finally reconciled, ZTE was not having an easy time. Four executives were fired and there were many restrictions.

Huawei is different. No matter whether the United States complains about security issues or about selling technology to Iran, it has no evidence to prove these. If the United States takes the same measures against Huawei as it did against ZTE at this time, it will not be beneficial to itself. Before it is fully sure, it still dares not touch Huawei easily. It only dares to say that Huawei has security problems and adopt a boycott method.
