Do you use selfies as avatars?

I won’t use my own selfies as WeChat avatars. I always feel that doing so would make people laughable.

As a person of average height, average appearance, average education, and even average figure, I really don’t have the confidence to use my selfie as a WeChat avatar.

If it had been many years ago, I might have had this kind of "mysterious confidence". But now I really don’t dare. Firstly, I’m a little afraid of being embarrassed, and secondly, I don’t want to expose my privacy too much.

WeChat has become the main instant messaging tool in our daily lives. There are many friends we know in it, as well as many strangers we have met on the Internet. To my friends, they all know what I look like; to strangers, I don’t need to let them know what I look like.

It will always be embarrassing if you use your real selfie as your WeChat avatar. After all, if you don’t even look handsome in a photo, others will look even less handsome.

And if the picture has been modified in various ways, it will not look like yourself after the modification. I don’t think there’s any need to use this kind of photo as her WeChat avatar, as her friends will laugh at her.

I am still a little skeptical about the current network information security. I have already disclosed all the information such as my ID card, so I’d better keep things like photos a bit mysterious.

I also have some friends who use their own selfie heads as WeChat avatars. But I was really embarrassed to tell them that the gap between the avatar and the real person was so big that as an acquaintance, I couldn’t even recognize him. I always want to laugh every time I see it, but I'm a little embarrassed.

I think I am still a very reserved person, and it is better to be low-key. If God opens his eyes and makes me more and more handsome, maybe I will consider it.

I rarely take selfies, let alone use them as avatars. It's better to have a simpler life. It's too complicated and I'm afraid I won't be able to adapt to it.

There should still be a slight distinction between the virtual world and the real world. If you take selfies or whatever, just keep them in your hands and enjoy them yourself.
