A short story of materialism and idealism

Fang Feihong of the Qing Dynasty wrote a book "Talking about Help", in which there was a story: the mother-in-law of the owner died, and the whole family was going to pay homage, and asked Mr. Private School to write a memorial. Mr. Xue was in a muddle, and mistakenly copied an article offering sacrifices to his father-in-law according to ancient books and handed it to his owner. The Dong family saw the mistake in the eulogy and blamed Mr. Private School for being too careless, but Mr. Private School stubbornly said, "What is written in ancient books has been judged. How can it be wrong? I'm afraid someone died in his family! " Dialectical materialism holds that matter is primary, consciousness is secondary, matter determines consciousness, and consciousness is the reflection of matter. According to this principle, we should proceed from reality in our practical work. Proceed from reality, that is, proceed from the objective facts and decide the work policy according to the actual situation, which is the fundamental requirement of dialectical materialist world outlook. The opposite of proceeding from reality is proceeding from subjectivity. Dogmatism and empiricism are manifestations of subjectivism. Mr. Xue in the above story did not proceed from objective reality, but only from abstract dogmas and books, and made dogmatic mistakes, so it was impossible to find a correct solution to the problem in practice and even make a joke.
