Writing articles is the best way for rapid personal growth

Why?

There is a saying called "Putting what you learn into practice". Learning is for the purpose of using it. Learning without using it is just dead knowledge. It is better not to learn and at least spend less money, right?

I personally think that the best way to use it is writing. Writing is the best way to use and organize the knowledge you have learned.

Everyone knows that you need to take notes when studying, but the knowledge you take notes may not be recorded in your brain, but only on paper, which means it is not counted as yours.

And what about writing?

Learning is a process of knowledge input, and writing is a process of knowledge output.

As soon as you enter and exit, the knowledge is imprinted in your mind, right?

The input of knowledge is mechanical, which is what we often call rote memorization. If you don’t actively think about it, only a very small part will actually be retained in the brain.

Writing is different. If you want to write a good article, there are at least three basic conditions.

1. Have something in your brain that can be output

If you want to write a good article, do you first need to have something in your brain?

So if you want to write a good article, you need to input knowledge. To write an article of a thousand words, you need to find at least ten times the relevant content to read, right? After reading so much content, has it been of any use to you personally? The answer must be somewhat useful.

2. Clear organization

The first requirement of the article is clear organization and strong logic.

Therefore, when writing, we need to make a writing outline. The writing outline is the guarantee for making the article clear and organized.

3. Articles are readable

Articles are not just written, the purpose of writing them is for readers to read.

No matter how good the content of an article is, but your logic is unclear, your wording is irregular, and your punctuation is incorrect, few people will be able to read it.

Being able to explain profound truths clearly in simple and straightforward words is an ability that every writer needs.

Generally we can use three methods to make the article readable:

1. Use metaphors

Obscure things can be easily understood by using metaphors. Got it. You should make good use of this rhetorical method that you learned in elementary school.

For example, Zhu Ziqing's "Moonlight over the Lotus Pond": the leaves are high out of the water, like the skirts of a graceful dancer. The appearance of the lotus leaf is vividly displayed, making people daydream about it.

2. Telling stories

We engage in the mode of reading stories that we accept, such as the stories your parents tell you before going to bed. Stories are the easiest to read and understand. If you write a good story, the article is half done.

3. Column data

If some content is listed with data, it will be clear at a glance.

For example, the "Chinese Stone Arch Bridge" I learned in middle school: the Marco Polo Bridge on the Yongding River was built between 1189 and 1192 AD. The bridge is 265 meters long and consists of 11 semicircular stone arches. The length of each stone arch varies from 16 meters to 21.6 meters. The bridge is about 8 meters wide and the road surface is flat, almost parallel to the river. There are stone piers between every two stone arches, connecting the 11 stone arches into a whole.
