Everything has a cause and effect. What goes around comes around. Whether it is good or not depends on people's explanation.
Cause+edge = fruit, just like seed+sunlight, air moisture, etc. Things are long. In case of fertilization, they can be ripened in advance. In case someone throws a cigarette butt casually, it may burn out.
There is a cloud in the Great Nirvana Sutra, "All saints practice Buddhism, and their bad karma is light, but their inaccurate karma is not rewarded."
What does the Buddhist scripture say about learning Buddhism? In layman's terms, it is to make the serious bad karma done in the past get less reward, uncertainty and lightness. Without asking for anything in return. Quite simply, it is to get happiness from suffering. I just want to be happy. Many people like to think of Buddhist karma as paying debts. This is actually very different. If this metaphor is true, then tell a joke, and Buddha disciples are ready to default.
One reason may lead to many different results. Just like the fruit of a tree, most of it is a seed, and many fruits appear in the end. This is the case in real life. One reason may affect different aspects.
Even some "causes" will have a decisive impact on our lives.
For example, if someone commits a very serious crime, such as murder. He was finally shot. Then the reason for his murder, as a result, affects almost every aspect of life. This is an extreme example.
So what can we do to avoid this karma? Just avoid that reason.
"Zhancha Good and Evil Cause" says: Now, there are things like happiness, happiness and misfortune. Fate is close, so it is ruined. Industry setting is based on heart. Not bad, not bad.
All kinds of things we encounter now, both bitter and happy, are caused by various reasons. If these margins were gone, there would be no such result. This is the case in real life. Each cause may affect our results in different ways. And these results influence each other and overlap each other. All this has caused our present situation. On the other hand, our current results and environment are the result of numerous factors. Of course, some factors may account for a large proportion, while others have only a small effect. So cause and effect is simple to say, but extremely complicated to operate. And without God, God controls and cannot control. This is an objective natural law.
For example, one morning we went out to buy breakfast. So how many factors come together in this behavior? If you deduce it, you will find too much, which has something to do with your schedule, right? Is it related to your sleep and mood yesterday? It's about your family, right? It is even related to weather, traffic, holidays and other factors. There are too many factors. This is very complicated.
Strictly speaking, the law of causality cannot be exhausted at present. Because it's too big and complicated. Even the most advanced computer cannot simulate this model.
"Hua Yan Jing" cloud: One industry knows all kinds of karma in all walks of life. Like doing business. Everything is the same.
In other words, from a single karma, we can know that all our infinite karma and karma are formed by the aggregation of various karma. Like this karma. All our own causes and consequences are like this.
So causality is a kind of operation law of things. Even if you don't believe in past lives and afterlife, it still runs in this life. Believe it or not. It is not a rule made by someone, a god or a Buddhist. No one can control it.
But although we still can't fully grasp all the details of causal operation. But we can still understand the general law of causal operation from Buddhist teachings. Learn how to create a career and create a destiny. So as to create happy results.

/thread-130066-1-1.htmlcausality and resistance
This time we will talk about all kinds of injustice in the world, whether it is cause and effect, and how it is caused. How to treat it. Let's give an example. War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and Nanking Massacre, for example, are well known in China. Everyone knows about the Holocaust in World War II. So are these things that kill innocent people in the war causal?
From the Buddhist view of cause and effect. Nothing is not caused by cause and effect. No matter how unreasonable, terrible and unacceptable it seems. So war and slaughter are the same. It's all cause and effect. Without the aggregation of various reasons, it is impossible to have such a result. This is a very objective attitude.
Then many people will say, you Buddhists are really heartless. Did those innocent people who were slaughtered deserve to die? Even more extreme, if someone kills your parents and children, is it culpable of punishment or karma?
We often encounter this attitude. It represents the ideas of many people. This idea has a wrong understanding of the law of cause and effect: what goes around comes around equals that the victim deserves it and the murderer is justified.
They mistakenly believe that cause and effect are tit for tat. In fact, if you think about it a little, if the cause and effect were as simple as that, then our long karma would have been over long ago. The debt should be paid off.
If you use debt repayment as a metaphor. A person owes a debt, and the creditor comes to collect it. So how many ways can we get it? Very many. These methods are legal and illegal. Certain conditions are needed. Creditors may do nothing but wait for the initiative to pay back the money. This is one way. Maybe creditors will handle it through litigation. Creditors may also force debts through illegal means such as underworld and kidnapping. Some creditors with rights can also directly seal up the debtor's property. Some people even kill for money.
Then all the above methods have the same result for the debtor. Paid back the money. The problem is that some of these methods have caused harm to debtors. The debtor is innocent. Note that although it is karma, it is karma. But the debtor is innocent.
So for cause and effect, karma doesn't mean deserved it. The realization of karma is not equal to the rationality and legitimacy of the process. Next, will creditors have new problems because of illegal debt collection? Yes, there will be consequences if he breaks the law. Will accept legal sanctions. In other words, these people implemented the wrong way because of the wrong ideas and their own conditions. It will eventually lead to painful results.
That's how the law of causality works. The formation of karma sometimes seems unreasonable. But it is precisely because of this that we will create more and more karma. Because everyone's "debt collection" method is somewhat unreasonable. So new karma was formed. You look for me, I look for you. Karma is becoming more and more complicated and involves more and more. Cause infinity to expand like this.
The people who committed the holocaust in the war, although they also received debts. But the methods used led them to create a lot of bad karma. On the contrary, it will be punished in the future. Thinking that killing innocent people is retribution does not mean that killing innocent people is justified. This does not mean that the massacre will not be punished and should not be condemned.
So what is a reasonable and legal "debt collection"? Buddhism tells everyone that the standard is: ten goodness. No killing, no stealing, no lewdness, no lying, no lying, no swearing, no lewd words, no greed, no resentment, no Jaken. As long as your body and words are consistent, it is the standard. Then there will be no new bad karma and new bad consequences. Buddhism is not about morality. Actually, it's entirely a technical problem. It is a technique to adjust one's cause and effect.
Therefore, if we encounter the problem of discussing cause and effect again, Buddha disciples will not be stingy with sympathy for those innocent people. Because they are innocent. For those who do evil, we also know that they have created evil karma. There will be bad karma in the future. At the same time, it also warns that these results are causal operations. Take this as a lesson and avoid creating new problems and new bad karma.
The law of causality itself has no emotional color, and not everyone seeks fair sustenance. It is neither a god nor a Lord. It just reveals how things work. Maybe this will make many people feel lost. Because facing social injustice. Cause and effect seem to be the last fair sustenance. People will think that there is always cause and effect, and there will always be consequences. The facts are really disappointing. Because if the cause and effect are really fair, every bit is exactly the same, then if we go through endless cycles, we will have reported all the newspapers. I have paid off all my debts.
In fact, we always create new cause and effect in the operation of cause and effect, which is good and evil. Some are neither good nor evil. These karma are constantly innovating. This is why we are always controlled by cause and effect. I can't get rid of this endless cycle.
