Up to now, there is an open space of 200-300 square meters behind the enclosure, and there is a small grass pier in the middle of the open space. When Huangma and Baima had no land, it was here that they dug for gold and silver.

The population of Zhang in the Eight Diagrams Array is growing rapidly. By the middle and late Qing Dynasty, there were four or five thousand people living in this area. In the 1960s and 1970s, there were eight production teams in the enclosure. Due to the increasing population, narrow living space and dilapidated houses, residents are building new homes one after another, leaving only more than 40 families around. There are more than 3,000 people in this ethnic group, and12,000 people have moved from Baguawei to various parts of the county, and tens of thousands of them have moved to Guangxi and other places.

On the second day of May in the ninth year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (1859), Baguawei suffered a great disaster. Tens of thousands of peasant rebels led by Zhaihuogu in Huizhou passed by, and villagers shot and killed officers and soldiers 10 with spears. In the 1990s, the wengyuan county Municipal Government listed Baguawei as a key cultural relic protection unit in the county. Baguawei has great research value from the aspects of history, architectural graphics, feng shui of residential buildings and so on, which is worth studying.
