Treatment of Jealousy Decoction

The title of the eightieth chapter of A Dream of Red Mansions is "Mei Xiangling succumbed to Wang Daoshi's lust for her husband and made up her mind to be jealous of her wife's prescription", in which Jia Baoyu went to Tianqi Temple to burn incense and make a wish, and asked Wang Daoshi, who sold plasters in the temple, "Is there a prescription for being jealous of women?" Wang Daoren said: "The vinegar jar plaster has never been used, but there is a soup or medicine that can cure it." This is called "vinegar therapy soup": with an excellent autumn pear, two yuan of rock sugar, one yuan of dried tangerine peel and three bowls of water, the pear is ripe. Eat this pear every morning, just eat it. "This is of course an impromptu joke. But as the saying goes, big shoes and small shoes are inseparable from looks, and makeup is somewhat unfounded. Otherwise, there are many fruits that can be used as medicine, and they are all sweet and delicious without side effects. Why use this samadhi instead of lotus seeds and candied dates?

Pear: sweet and shabby, non-toxic, can cure wind and heat, moisten the lungs and cool the heart.

Rock sugar: sweet and cold, non-toxic, moistening heart, lungs and large intestine, clearing away heat and relieving alcoholism.

Dried tangerine peel: bitter and warm, non-toxic, can release energy, regulate qi and dry dampness.

Pear and rock sugar cool and moisten the fire of the heart and lungs, but their nature is sweet and cold, and it is inevitable to get wet after long-term service, so they are used with dried tangerine peel for easy flow. Moreover, dried tangerine peel can regulate qi, eliminate phlegm and relieve depression. Although a few bland products may not really cure the furnace, they also conform to the above analysis. Long-term use is beneficial and harmless.

Raw materials:

1 pear, 20g dried tangerine peel, and appropriate amount of rock sugar.

Exercise:

Wash the pears and cut them into large pieces. Wash the dried tangerine peel and break it into small pieces. Put it in a soup pot and cook for 20 minutes, then add rock sugar and cook.
