Speaking Mandarin well is an extremely important thing in modern society. Mandarin is a way for people of all ethnic groups to communicate with each other and is the traditional language of China. Without Mandarin, communication between people becomes very difficult.

There is a good story: a farmer in a poor mountainous area scrimps and saves every day in order to raise enough money to find a good job in a big city one day. After working hard for most of his life, he finally raised enough money. Full of joy, he took his luggage and all his belongings to the big city by train. Unexpectedly, when he first arrived, disappointment and loneliness surrounded him-it turned out that he could not speak Mandarin and could not communicate with people normally. So he had to go back to the mountainous area to farm, and spent all his life savings, and he was unhappy all day. What does this story tell us? If a person in modern society can't use Putonghua flexibly and communicate with others correctly, then even if he is diligent and hardworking, he can only accomplish nothing. The students in our school come from all parts of the city, and many students often bring some dialects when they speak.
