The characteristics of the Han dynasty:

First, the centralized system was further strengthened. It is manifested in reforming the political system, establishing a new military system and implementing a new fiscal and taxation system.

Second, ideological rule is more severe. The most typical example is Dong Zhongshu's proposal to "oust a hundred schools of thought and respect Confucianism alone" and let Confucianism rule China for thousands of years.

Third, the formation of feudal separatist forces. This phenomenon appeared in the late Qin Dynasty and took shape in the Han Dynasty. Since then, the landlord forces, as a unique product of China feudal society, have occupied the historical stage for a long time.

Four, "multi-ethnic" and "great unity" form a pattern. Although this issue is the main content of history in any dynasty, the Han dynasty was the first dynasty of "multi-ethnicity" and "great unity". Qin only unified China, but in the Han Dynasty, with the continuous expansion of the territory, reunification was an inevitable trend, while many nationalities surrendered to the Han nationality.
