A brief introduction to the adventures of the braggart
After returning to Germany, I started from my own experience and created a strange adventure story with exaggeration and fantasy. He is eloquent. He is eloquent. The fairy tale describes the "adventure" he told.
A noble baron. The more "honest" Baron Xie Yunyi Howard Johnson claims that all his experiences are authentic, the more ridiculous readers feel. Through exaggerated stories, the author depicts the hero, Baron Howard Johnson in western Fujian, a careless and serious braggart.
Let readers feel that this person is a person who often meets in people's lives, tells impossible stories and wins the audience a smile. It is no stranger. Therefore, the image of Baron Xie Yunyi is recognized by readers.
Haosheng in western Fujian is obviously a fictional character. He, like the two generations of Uighurs, Balagencang of Mongolians and Liezhangsan of Miao people, is an artistic model born on the soil of folk literature.

Creation background
Howard in Minxi is a real person. He lived from 1720 to 1797. He was a manor owner in Hanover in the18th century. He came from a noble family and was a baron. This person did take part in two wars between Russia and Turkey, liked hunting, was humorous by nature, and was good at telling stories. He is not a braggart.
"The Story of a Boastmaster" was collected by Professor Raspe and attached to Minxi Howard. Raspe is knowledgeable, intelligent and lively. In 1788, he was awarded the honorary title of "excellent linguist with high honor" in Great Britain for introducing German romantic poetry to the British.
At the end of 1786 or the beginning of 1787, he published the Adventures of the Big Boatman anonymously in Britain (subtitled "Documentary of Baron Xie Yunyi Howard Johnson's Travel and Combat Adventures in Russia"). In order to meet the taste of the British, he used the title Gulliver's Resurrection, which was reprinted seven times in Britain. During this period, Raspe constantly added and expanded new stories.
Later, the German narrative poet Bilger (1747-1794) translated it into German, supplemented it and polished it, making The Story of Min Xihao's Life an elegant, exquisite, graceful, cheerful, clear, concise and humorous large-scale text. This passage contains almost all European funny jokes and fairy tales rewritten by Bilger.
