Cultivated land includes six categories.

There are only three types of cultivated land, including paddy field, irrigated land and dry land, as follows:

1, paddy field refers to cultivated land used to grow aquatic crops such as rice and lotus root. Cultivated land including flood and drought crop rotation;

2. Irrigated land refers to the cultivated land with water source guarantee and irrigation facilities, which can be irrigated normally in general years and planted with dry crops (including vegetables). Including non-factory greenhouse land for growing vegetables;

3. Dryland refers to the cultivated land without irrigation facilities and mainly relying on natural precipitation to grow xerophytes, including the cultivated land without irrigation facilities and only relying on flood diversion and sedimentation.

Cultivated land protection policies are as follows:

1, building houses does not occupy permanent basic farmland;

2. Do not occupy more cultivated land for building houses;

3. Do not buy, sell or transfer cultivated land for illegal building;

4. It is not allowed to build houses illegally on contracted farmland;

5. It is not allowed to illegally occupy cultivated land for building houses under various excuses;

6. It is not allowed to occupy cultivated land for building houses in violation of the provisions of "one household, one house";

7. houses built on cultivated land shall not be illegally sold;

8. There is no illegal approval to occupy cultivated land for building houses.

The state practices a land use control system.

The state formulates the overall land use planning, defines the land use, and divides the land into agricultural land, construction land and unused land. Strictly restrict the conversion of agricultural land into construction land, control the total amount of construction land, and implement special protection for cultivated land.

The agricultural land mentioned in the preceding paragraph refers to the land directly used for agricultural production, including cultivated land, woodland, grassland, farmland water conservancy land and aquaculture water surface. Construction land refers to the land for building buildings and structures, including urban and rural residential and public facilities, industrial and mining land, transportation and water conservancy facilities, tourism land and military facilities; Unused land refers to land other than agricultural land and construction land.

Units and individuals using land must use the land in strict accordance with the purposes determined in the overall land use planning.
