Creative background: During the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty, Wang Wei purchased a villa in Wangchuan at the foot of Zhongnan Mountain. Luchai is one of the scenic spots in Wang Wei's villa in Wangchuan. There are 20 scenic spots in Wangchuan. Wang Wei and his friend Pei Di wrote poems for each place and compiled them into "Wangchuan Collection". This poem is the fifth of them.
Introduction to the author: Wang Wei (701-761, some say 699-761), courtesy name Mojie, Han nationality, from Puzhou, Hedong (now Yuncheng, Shanxi), ancestral home in Qixian County, Shanxi, Tang Dynasty He was a poet of the dynasty and was known as the "Buddha of Poetry". Su Shi commented on him: "When you taste Mojie's poems, there are paintings within the poems; when you look at Mojie's paintings, there are poems within the paintings."
