The embarrassment of "wanting to stay but not staying" in a rich tourist destination

At present, Wuwei faces two major traffic problems: there is no high-speed rail and no airport. The Hexi Corridor is more than a thousand kilometers, and the tourist routes are long and scattered. "Instead of spending time on the way to Wuwei, it is better to go straight to Zhangye and then go all the way west to Dunhuang." Some tourists commented on the internet.

Building "Silk Road Pedestrian Street" to reshape "Prosperous Liangzhou"

"The construction of the cultural tourism complex project in Leitai Scenic Area in Wuwei can solve some problems of retaining people to some extent." The staff said that the key is to provide tourists with a gathering place for eating, living, traveling, shopping and entertainment.

According to the staff of Leitai Scenic Area Cultural Tourism Complex, there are 94 single buildings in this project, and 93 buildings have been capped. The designed green coverage rate is as high as 56%, which will become "urban green lung, natural oxygen bar". Focus on the design of Tianma Walking Garden, Liangzhou Poetry Garden and Tianma Expo Park, fully integrate culture and nature, so that tourists can experience the beauty of natural harmony while experiencing cultural tourism.

Some citizens said that the pedestrian street is also a "window of the city", and there is no "decent" pedestrian street in Wuwei at present. The night market frequented by local foodies is not only difficult to park, but also relatively remote, and tourists can't find the north when they come. Song Yan believes that if the Silk Road Pedestrian Street is completed, it will be a qualitative leap for Wuwei tourism, enhance the participation and experience of tourists, and the night tour of Liangzhou will reproduce the glory of Han and Tang Dynasties.

Wake up the sleeping history and make cultural relics come alive

When you travel to Wuwei, you will also hear a sentence: "You have something to listen to, but you haven't played with it or bought it". Although in recent years, local historical resources have been excavated and some cultural and creative products have been developed, but the types are relatively single. There seems to be nothing to take away except souvenirs such as "Copper Running Horse". Since last year, Wuwei Museum has turned some cultural relics that have been sleeping for thousands of years into "awakened" online celebrity products.

The museum cooperated with Ningxia University to launch a series of bookmarks of Xixia Zodiac. With the names of the zodiac in Xixia language and the corresponding animal images in Xixia art as visual design symbols, the mascot of Xixia Zodiac was creatively designed by using modern copper electroplating hollowing-out technology, showing the outstanding achievements of the integration of traditional culture and creative inspiration in the new era.

Liang Jihong, deputy director of Wuwei Museum, for example, said that the design inspiration of the carved porcelain series was based on Xixia's unique carved porcelain making skills. Combining the commonly used patterns and special patterns of Xixia carved porcelain, we designed wine sets, tea sets, stationery and other products suitable for modern life by hand carving, which were deeply loved by tourists. This series of wenchuang also won the bronze prize in Gansu Tourism Commodity Competition.

"Thousands of years ago, the ancient people's artistic creation was combined with modern technology, and the pattern of Eight Birds in the Chaoyang was like a national tide wind passing through." Liang Jihong said that the painted portrait brick of Eight Birds in Chaoyang is a caisson brick unearthed from the Wei and Jin tombs in Wuwei. The inspiration of this series of creative products comes from this portrait brick that is still exquisite after thousands of years, from which pillow, mobile phone case, mouse pad, silk scarf, cosmetic mirror and so on are developed and designed.

"It is no exaggeration to say that many Wenchuang products are already made in online celebrity." Liang Jihong said that Wuwei is a big city of cultural relics, and 9% of the unearthed cultural relics are collected in the museum. Nowadays, cultural relics have a younger expression through the innovation of contemporary people. As the Spring Festival is coming, cultural and creative products, as a culture of "affordable and take away", will become a New Year custom, and in the future, it will also be a new tourism symbol in Wuwei.
