How to plant turf

The first step: fine soil preparation

Laws have high requirements on soil conditions. The land must be very flat before laying. The following two points need to be mastered:

1. Backfilling The soil is full and slightly higher than the design elevation. Generally, the height difference is within 3 to 5 cm.

2. Clean up all small stones and other objects within a depth of 30cm in the site.

3. If you are designing a grassland with terrain, you must ensure that the terrain is smooth and full.

Step 2: Soil improvement (sanding)

1. Sprinkle perlite, humus soil, river sand, etc. to improve the soil

2. Use wooden sticks to roll out the soil after sprinkling river sand

If you want to ensure the subsequent growth of the lawn, you can also sprinkle some compound fertilizer appropriately. When preparing the land, apply enough base fertilizer. In areas where conditions permit, you can apply decomposed fertilizers. For organic fertilizers, you can also use Trim chemical fertilizers.

The third step: lawn seeding

1. Flatten the uneven soil layer before seeding

2. When spreading seeding, pull wires, Keep the lawn flat, neat and neat

Pay attention to leaving no gaps between the turf seeds. Generally, the best specification is 300*300mm

Step 4: Rolling

1. It is generally necessary to carry out three rolling operations to ensure full contact between the sand layer and the turf

2. There are many methods of rolling: if the turf area is large, a roller truck can be used; Generally, you can make your own roller or pull it manually. If there are sporadic turf fields, workers can just pat them hard with a shovel.

Step 5: Watering

1. If it is a large grassland such as a park, golf lawn, etc., an automatic sprinkler irrigation system will usually be installed, and it can be turned on immediately after the grassland is laid.

2. If you water artificially, you must pay attention to watering thoroughly for the first time, and consider the settlement of soil, sand and turf's own sand.

Step 6: Daily pruning

Generally, newly laid grass does not need to be mowing, because after rolling and watering, the grass is compact. It will take about 10 days to start cutting grass.

If you encounter scattered weeds, they need to be cleaned up in time.

Step 7: Lawn insulation measures

1. In order to promote the germination of lawns in winter, non-woven fabrics (breathable insulation) can be used to cover the lawns and keep them warm

The film used for insulation has poor air permeability and must be uncovered regularly.
