Liao Xiongbing, a famous cartoonist, began to publish comic works in newspapers and periodicals on 1932. 1935 graduated from Guangzhou Normal School (now Guangzhou Sheikh Middle School) and worked as a primary school teacher and a reporter of Art editor newspaper. 1938 joined the Wuhan Comic Propaganda Team, and then went to southern Anhui to carry out anti-Japanese propaganda work.
