Should we pay compensation if trees are damaged during the construction of electric power facilities?

Some compensation should be given.

Reasons: 1. The roadside should be land owned by the collective or the state. Planting trees on the land does not infringe on the interests of the owner, or there is no requirement from the state (possibly the highway administration) or the collective. If your dad cuts down trees, then your dad has certain civil rights and interests in the trees planted, which cannot be regarded as full ownership;

2. The power company's construction should be for the benefit of the public, so it should not compensate.

If it is a collective approach, it is recommended to sue the power company together with collective consultation! If the collective is unwilling, your father can sue individually.
