Meeting, the old examination shed located at Xiaodongmen of the county was selected as the school site. In September, 80 new students were admitted and classes began, with a four-year academic system. In the autumn and winter of that year, a group of progressive teachers and students of the school actively participated in anti-Japanese and national salvation activities under the guidance of alumni Huang Jingbai, Xu Zicai, Huang Zhiyou, Zeng Yuan and others. They used their spare time to participate in publishing publications, mobilized young clerks, workers, and farmers to study culture and politics, write anti-Japanese slogans, publish anti-Japanese wall newspapers, hold street speeches, and promote the idea of ??uniting to resist Japan, which greatly inspired the patriotic enthusiasm of the county people.
