Ba Manzi was a general in the Warring States period more than two thousand years ago. Ba Man Zi, who was born in Linjiang City (now Zhongxian County, Chongqing) last weekend, committed suicide to protect the city. Later generations read his loyalty and changed Linjiang to Zhongzhou (now Zhongxian County, Chongqing). The ancient city wall of Ba Man Zi, located at the east gate of the county seat, is still visible.

In the long history of China, only two generals were beheaded, and they could be mourned or buried by the warring countries with gifts of "ministers" or "princes". One is Guan Yu in the Three Kingdoms period, and the other is Ba Man Zi in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period.

At present, there is a couplet in Shuangzhong Temple in Baxian County, Chongqing: "The national scholar is unparalleled; ; Loyal ministers are not loyal ministers. " "Double-Nation" refers to General Ba Man Zi and Qin Liangyu (Ba Man Zi, a Pakistani general in the middle and late Warring States period; Qin Liangyu, a native of Zhongxian County, Chongqing in the Ming Dynasty, was a famous anti-Qing general in the late Ming Dynasty.
